Ellie Goulding’s album cover for ‘Bright lights’ has inspired me to use a simple photo of the face, and using Photoshop Adobe we can brighten up images and change the colours to make it more appealing and give the photo an airbrush appearance. Ellie Goulding’s photo stands out from her background even though the colours are all neutral and there are no bold images or colours that distract you from the title and picture.

Cheryl Cole has also kept her album cover very neutral and plain, the photo has been grey scaled and allows the image of Cheryl Cole to stand out from her background even though it is all grey and black. Around her body, is a subtle dark black shadow that makes her stand forward from the grey background.

The album title printed on her skin looks to me like a tattoo. ‘Cheryl Cole 3 words’ printed in black sticks to the theme and I like that its simple and keeps in the black/grey/white theme,.

Nicole Scherzinger photo is very similar to Cheryl Cole’s she has the grey background, the same over the shoulder position as Cheryl Cole. Also the colour theme with black and grey.

Nicole Scherzinger picture has red for the name, lips and hair piece and I think it helps to make the cover look more interesting, adding colour especially red as it makes me think of romance

and death as it symbolises blood. Red and Black are hard and intense colour symbolising passion and I think this is what the artist wanted to create.
