ODOT Requirements

• 5 hours at home guided practice • 6 hours behind-the-wheel • 6 hours in-car observation • 30 hours classroom attendance • Pass classroom with at least 80% • Pass drive 6 with at least 80% • Course completed w/in 180 days

from first day of class

Program Expectations • Drives will continue beyond

completion of classroom • Space out drives to allow

time for guided practice • Upon successful completion,

certificate will be mailed • Certificate is good for 2 years

from completion date

If a student doesn’t complete

the ODOT requirements within

the deadline, turns 18 or

gets license before completion,

the student will owe a

$210 disqualification fee.

Fees • Account must be current to schedule additional drives and to

receive certificate

Classroom Makeup

• If a student misses class, he/she has to make up the missed hours

• Find makeup class options and the missed class makeup form at

www.ODECdriving.com/makeup

• If the last day of class is missed, arrangements for makeup must be

done through the office

Drive Scheduling

• Drives are scheduled online in

the Student Portal

• Drives are typically scheduled

14 days apart

• The last 2-3 lessons typically

take place after classroom is

complete
