Duration, Delivery & Assessment
• 18 face-to-face sessions - 1 x class per week• Assessments include: written & oral questions, projects, group work, online collaboration & observations of skills
Location
We do have CBD campuses, but we also consider where majority of the students have to travel from. We try to group people from the same location together and hire out venues that are closer to home making it easier for you to travel to. The exact location of the classes will be confirmed once you talk to a representative of MCFE.
Whether you’re just finishing high school, a mature age student looking to study higher education or a small business owner needing to brush up on academic and social media skills, our Tertiary Preperation course is perfect for you.
The 22313VIC - Certificate IV Tertiary Preparation course will teach you skills that will assist in reading and writing, problem solving, planning and organising, collaborative learning and team work. OUr course has been modelled around social media marketing, giving you an introductory look into how to bet maximise these platforms.
From integrated marketing plans and creating your own compelling social media profile, you will understand social media platforms, blogging and will develop your marketing portfolio to use for future employment opportunities.

Fees
This course has been approved for the Skills First Funding Program , which is a subsidy offered by the Victorian Government that contributes to the cost of your training. There is eligiblity criteria you will need to meet to access this funding.
There are limitations to using Victorian government funding, so it is important to make sure you enrol in the right course for you, as it may affect your access to further funding in the future.

We will teach you how to utilise the main social media platforms to build a marketing plan for a business. Not only that, but we will assist in your own account and build you a professional Linkedin so you can start connecting with clients.

learn how to best present your marketing materials.

Capturing your reader’s attention and conveying asense of who you are and why you should be hired is
an essential skill. In this module you’ll create your ownLinkedIn profile, have a professional headshot takenand write a compelling bio that showcases you, your
skills and experience
Module 1
Social Media Marketing for a real client
In Social Media Marketing for a Real Client you’ll beworking with a real business to assess their currentsocial media marketing activities – what are they
doing right, what can they do better and what are others in their industry doing? You’ll learn how to critically examine a client’s marketing and write a
formal marketing proposal.
Module 2
Intergrated marketing plan for your client
The Integrated Marketing Plan takes the skills you’ve developed through Social Media Marketing
for a Real Client and applies them to a business of your choice. Working in a small group you’ll
determine your client’s budget, business objectives and choose the best marketing method(s) for
achieving their objectives.

Module 5
All about blogging
All about blogging introduces you to the benefits that blogging can bring to a business. In this module you’ll set up your own WordPress blog, customise itsappearance and learn how to write a blog post for
maximum impact.
Module 6
Integrated marketing plan for your client
The Integrated Marketing Plan takes the skills you’vedeveloped through Social Media Marketing for a Real Client and applies them to a business of your choice. Working in a small group you’ll determine
your client’s budget, business objectives and choose the best marketing method(s) for achieving their
objectives.
Module 7
Your Study Plan
This module is all about you! – your current level ofeducation, the career you dream of and how you can
get there. You’ll learn some great tips for makingeffective presentations and work with your class-
mates to develop and refine your presentation skills.
Module 8
The Great Debate
The ability to communicate effectively and get yourpoint across in a clear manner is an important skill inmost careers. In this module, we’ll examine a topic,develop research skills to refine and reinforce your
viewpoint and conduct a classroom debate.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Credit Transfer (CT)
RPL: You can ask for your relevant existing skills, qualifications and experiences to be assessed and taken into account when your level of competency is being evaluated. There will be a cost associated, refer to the statement of fees and charges. CT: If you have previously completed a unit with the same code as your new course you will be eli-gible for a credit transfer and you will not have to repeat that unit. There is no cost associated with this process.

Visit our course page and fill out the ‘Tell me more’ form on the website or contact us at [email protected] or call 1300 368 883 to register your interest.
During the call back stage, you will be offered the opportunity to attend our information session where you will meet the trainer.
During the information session, a MCFE member will go through the training program, funding options and course outcomes. You will complete a pre-training review and the trainer will answer any questions you may have.
If there is no information session scheduled for your course, you have the option to come into our head office to complete an information session with MCFE staff or we will contact you when the next session runs.
An option to enroll after the information session will be available. Please bring ID to this session (Medicare card + Driver’s License or passport)
An email will be sent to you with our course brochure attached for you to look over and you will receive a call by a representative of MCFE to chat with you about the course.
How to Apply
Resources and Materials
You need access to a computer or smart device and the internet to complete this qualification, as there you will need to access social media sites and complete research requirements online.
Support Services
If you need support with progress throughout your course or other personal issues, we have a student services officer who can help or direct you to the most appropriate external service. Your trainer will also be available every session to cover additional support if required.
