Wednesday Community Meal The community meal on April 19 from 5-6pm will be chicken alfredo pasta, salad bar, bread, and dessert. This meal is a free-will offering. April Gift of Love - Families Moving Forward

Families Moving Forward provides temporary emergency shelter, resources to find permanent affordable housing, and supportive services to low income families with children. Over 40 congregations (including Christ the King) with more than 4,200 volunteers open their doors for a week on a rotating basis, providing meals and overnight shelter. Thanks to your generous offerings, expenses at Christ the King during our host weeks are provided for in our church’s budget. The April Gift of Love offering will be sent to the Day Center to help cover the many expenses they encounter helping families find a home.

Women’s Luncheon - Saturday, April 29th at 11amOur Luncheon is coming soon – April 29th at 11:00am. Our speaker this year is Eleanor Ostman who was a longtime food writer for the St. Paul Pioneer Press-Dispatch. Tickets are on sale before and after 9:30am worship in the Commons. Tickets are again $15.00. Mark Heder will be catering our lunch again this year. Please join us – all are welcome!!

Living Well with Chronic ConditionsFairview Hospitals is helping us bring to you the 6-week workshop. “Living Well with Chronic Conditions”. This workshop will be held Thursday evenings April 27th–June 1st With the Fairview grant, you will receive a light supper at 5:30pm and all books and materials at no cost. If you complete the entire 6-week workshop, you will receive a $25.00 gift card. Community GardenThe sign-up for our Community Garden starts April 15th. It is expected that all gardeners assist with VEAP boxes. Watering is provided. Don’t forget our fun Salsa Making Party in August.What: 3 x 3 feet raised bed garden boxes available for rent this growing season.
