To get our garden off to a good start this year we need donations of
Soil, manure and old hay to give the garden the best possible
foundation for the wonderful produce grown. Please contact
Corryong College on 02 6076 1566 If you can help out.
The Parents Club AGM is 4th March 2019 at 2pm Jnr Campus (bring a plate of afternoon tea to share).
F-4 HAPPENINGS
Every Monday in Term 1 All students will having an assembly in the Library from
2.50pm—3.20pm. All parents are welcome to attend.
Every Wednesday in February All foundation students will not be required to attend school on
Wednesday’s in February.
Wednesday 20th March All students from Foundation to year 4 will have the pleasure of
watching a live Aboriginal dance performance at the Junior
Campus.
Monday 11th March—Labour Day holiday

Pancake Shrove All students from F-4 will be
cooking pancakes. Class notes to
follow.
Mathletics - Reminder to all parents All students will be participating in Mathletics which is an
amazing online resource that students can access anytime even
weekends and holidays. The cost is $14 per student.
The year 4 students will also need to purchase a Targeting Math
book $16.
PHONICS CODE OF THE WEEK
Syllables are chunks of a word.
A syllable can be either open or closed.
A closed syllable follows the patter CVC
(Consonant Vowel Consonant)
An open syllable follows the pattern CV
Head Lice It has been brought to our attention that some students are
experiencing head lice. Please check your child's hair vigilantly and
treat if necessary.
Good Luck to all our year 3/4 students that will be swimming at
Upper Hume Swimming in Wodonga today.
Vegies
During the last few weeks, we have harvested over 70 kg of fruit and vegies harvested from our Stephanie
Alexander Kitchen Garden. A huge thank you to Jenny Ardley who helped Mrs Taylor prepare the fruit and vegies
to be made into sauces, chutneys and jams.
Bottles
Here are just some of the products that have been made by the Year 5&6 Students. They are all bottled up ready
for their labels. They have made Lemon Cordial, Lemon Butter, Peach and Capsicum Jam, Peach BBQ Sauce,
Tomato Sauce, Tomato Relish, Sweet Cucumber Pickles, Asian Plum Sauce, Tomato Kusundi. All of these
products will be sold at the farmers market soon.
