ProFlex™ CGC’S NEWEST INNOVATION IN HIGH-ENDCUSHIONED MOUNTING MATERIALProFlex™ is our newest cushioned line of supported high-end mountingmaterials, designed specifically for today’s wide-format plates for corru-gated post-printing. With proven award-winning capabilities, ProFlex™is the cushioned mounting material of choice, developed for high-endprinting with today’s thin-plate face photopolymer and laser-engravedplates. This new flexible and compressible mounting material displaysthe excellent imaging details available from today’s plate technologiesby allowing plates to print cleaner and last longer.

ProFlex™ is made to our specifications. A supported version is availablewith a strong, stable mounting surface. ProFlex™ is also available in anadhesive coated version without the support layer. Adhesive coatedProFlex™ is ideal for cushioned backing on carrier sheets or for tempo-rary cylinder build-up.

Most common heights are available including .060”, .100”, .125”, and.155”. ProFlex™ is dimensionally accurate across its wide width.

ProFlex™ has excellent rebound characteristics. The density ofProFlex™ is engineered to print well on all corrugated substrates.ProFlex™ reduces mount weight through both its lighter weight andthrough the use of thinner plate materials.

PlateLoc™ MOUNTING ATTACHMENT SYSTEMCGC’s PlateLoc™ Mounting Attachment System is stronger andstraighter than any other available for the industry. Made of three parts:

Lead Edge Strip is designed to give excellent registration and fasterset-ups. (A flexible Lead Edge also available for extra-long mounts.)Our system is especially designed to have a positive fit in all Fast-Lockchannels, and features 72” and 102” lengths.

Trail Edge Strip is thicker, so straps and bands will not tear out, andis pre-punched to use either Container-Straps® or tension bands, andfeatures 72” and 102” lengths.

Hanging Tab is reinforced and stronger than the conventional grom-met it replaces, and has no metal — which reduces the risk of damage toanilox rolls.

CushionLite™CushionLite™ features an 85-foot roll of 59”-wide cushioned materialweighing just around 130 pounds. This means handling CushionLite™takes less effort resulting in fewer problems with out-of-balance/press-bounce conditions. Available in .125” and .155” thickness,CushionLite™ is accurate in width and thickness.

TENSION Container-Straps® are the preferred tension band formounting plates to presses, and have become an industry standard.Container-Straps® provide better tension than other types of bands,stretching up to 2” with constant tension regardless of length. Whenusing several bands on a mount, each provides the same amount of ten-sion because of the consistency of stretch in our natural rubber bands.

EASY TO USESimply bend the strap to the correct length (allow for a 2” stretch), insertit in a slot in the mounting material, and easily hook it into place with aStrap Puller. Container-Straps® will fold easily. Inch marks are shownon the strap so that all straps may be bent to the same length, resultingin even tension across the plate. Straps are used again and again, andhave no metal parts.
