1989Aero Auctions was established in 1989 and began as a small family run auction for marine and recreational products in Innisfil, Ontario. Within a few years, Aero Auctions became the Premiere Marine and Recreation Auction in Canada.

2006Michael Duns accepted the position of Manager and Auctioneer. As he assumed the responsibilities for the business, the marine and recreation markets experienced a down turn in sales. In order to keep the business viable, Michael ventured into the Heavy Equipment and Heavy Transportation markets. As a result, the first auction grossed over a million.

2008

Michael Duns purchased the business from his parents and continued to aggressively pursue growth.

2009

Aero Auctions purchased the auction site in Oro Medonte to better serve the growing needs of the business and their customers.

2013

As customer demand increased, Aero Auction needed to grow their operational base. A permanent Ottawa location was purchased in Vars. The first Ottawa auction was held in June of that same year. As a result, auction proceeds more than doubled from 2011.

2014

Aero Auctions expanded their operations to include Edmonton. The site chosen was Spruce Grove with the first sale being held in November.

2015

Aero Auctions recognized the need for a location in Montreal to serve the Quebec market. On July 8th, 2015, we held our first auction at our new site in Quebec, 2141 rang Charlotte, Saint-Simon-de-Bagot.It was a landmark auction that set the stage for continued growth and success, partly due to its great location situated between Montreal and Quebec.

Aero Auctions quickly outgrew their Edmonton site and needed to find a new site that could accommodate the growing customer base and equipment needs. The new

site is located at 26302 TWP. Rd. 5131A Acheson, Alberta. The first auction was a great success and was held in June.

Our first Online National Agriculture & Recreational Auction was held in the spring of 2015. The sale attracted more than 500 registered bidders from 7 Provinces and 2 States. The success of the online auction format led to the addition of online Recreation and Marine auctions.

Today

Aero Auctions has grown from a mom and pop auction business into a company with more than 50 employees and forecasted auction proceeds of over 100 million for 2015.
