Background
RLF was founded in Australia in 1991 to manufacture and market high efficiency broad
spectrum liquid fertilisers for agriculture.
Today it develops, manufactures and markets a comprehensive range of fertilisers - including
our world leading seed-priming products - high-quality nutrient and broad spectrum solutions,
NPK granular fertilisers, water soluble powders, and our exclusive broad spectrum liquid
compound fertilisers.
In Australia, RLF operates an ISO 9001 Quality Assured formulation facility, developed and
expanded over the years since its inception as the demands for increased volumes required to
supply the expanding market have grown.
In 2003, RLF established a distribution operation in China. Our China subsidiary, Rural Liquid
Fertilisers China, is a wholly foreign owned company with headquarters in Shanghai. Officially
opened in January 2009, the mainland China Manufacturing Facility, is on a 40,000 square
metre site that includes a technical laboratory, modern manufacturing and distribution centre
and product demonstration and trial area.

RLF formulates some of the worlds most advanced high-analysis broad-spectrum liquid fertilisers – most of which have
very high analysis concentrations of many specialised elemental compounds that have been safely processed into a
single stable saturated solution.

Seed Priming
SEED PRIMING is the latest technology in engineered seed nutrition. This is a
powerful advance in modern farming practice and RLF are absolute world-
leaders. Now farmers and growers can directly fertilise the seed because of RLF-
developed technology called SDS. RLF are at the forefront of the agricultural
industry and leading the way with our specialised range of SEED PRIMING
products to ensure that plants are set for maximum yield potential.
Ultra Foliar
RLF leads the world in High-analysis Broad-spectrum liquid fertilisers. These are
called ULTRA FOLIAR. These fertilisers give the plant the resources to grow
strong and helps ensure that the NPK-inputs together with herbicides and
fungicide achieve maximum gain. ULTRA FOLIAR does this by delivering a
complete broad spectrum nutrient package – directly to the plant – using an RLF
developed technology called NDS.
Rapid Foliar
RAPID FOLIAR is a new product category. For specific nutrient requirements,
such as Zinc, Copper or Manganese, RLF has integrated its delivery technology
with partial ETDA chelates which results in a foliar product with increased speed
and efficiency of nutrient uptake and nutrient availability to the plant. This has
resulted in a superior product that ensures the primary nutrient is available at
faster and higher levels.
Fertigation
RLF specialises in the development and manufacture of quality liquid fertiliser
products for use in modern reticulated or sprinkler irrigation systems.
FERTIGATION products are engineered using RLF-developed technology
including HBS (High-analysis Broad-spectrum Solutions) ensuring that nutrition
is delivered at optimum levels. RLF FERTIGATION products deliver a solution
concentration that is immediately dispersed in the irrigation systems used.
Root Boost
ROOT BOOST is the category given to describe the RLF products designed to

RLF is a global specialist in liquid fertilisers. The formulation and manufacture of
specialty formulations for the purposes of BULK LIQUIDS manufacture and
distribution is a service that RLF performs today. These formulations are often
variable in development and tailored to the unique situations for which they are
intended. RLF has the technical, operational ability and infrastructure to provide
BULK LIQUID fertiliser solutions.
Pasture
PASTURE PLUS Ultra Foliar is a HBS (High-analysis Broad-spectrum) liquid
fertiliser designed specifically for animal carrying pastures and crops. Pasture
Plus applies the RLF technology called NDS to deliver nutrient through the leaf
and has 12 essential nutrients contained in the concentrated solution.
Engineered for animal carrying pasture, Pasture Plus is formulated to improve the
volume and quality of animal feed crops making them more palatable and
nutritional. Pasture Plus optimum balance of nutrients fixes issues leading to
animal deficiencies and has the potential to increase revenue from improved feed
and animal production.

The RLF range of Rapid Foliar consists of a Zinc, Copper and Manganese product solution using RDS (Rapid Delivery
System) and also containing a multi-spectrum number of supporting micro-nutrients. This is a high-technology solution for
the requirements of primary single element crop needs.
Rapid Foliar has two key features. The first feature is the RDS (Rapid Delivery System) that makes up the basis for the
technology in this product. The second is the formulation in that the primary nutrient requirement is supported by a balance
of other micro-nutrients required to support the primary nutrient effectiveness. These two features have resulted in a single
element product solution that is superior in effectiveness and results.

RDS (Rapid Delivery System) is a combination of the RLF proprietary technology used for nutrient delivery
in its foliar products combined with partial chelation from high-quality EDTA chelates. This combination has
resulted in a fast and efficient nutrient delivery process – ensuring both quicker and more uptake through
the leaf and then more transportation throughout the plant cells. The partial chelation fixes the issues around
chelates slowing down cell transformation once inside the plant – and the combination of delivery
technology provides a solution to efficient entry through the leaf and then effectiveness in uptake and use in
the plant itself. This technology makes Rapid Zinc work.

Management Team
Alan has more than 40 years experience providing commercial expertise and guidance in the
management and growth of medium to large Australian companies. These industry sectors are as
diverse as Mining, Manufacturing and Distribution, Finance and Human Resources.
In the 1960’s and 70’s Alan worked with Mount Newman Mining (now BHP Iron Ore).
In 1979 he was appointed CEO of Australia’s largest fruit juice manufacturer Berri Fruit Juices and
in 1985 he became General Manager of Visyboard, Australia’s largest corrugated box
making group.
Alan is RLF’s former CEO and he continues to provide consultancy and management services to a
number of Australian companies.
Alan Hancock | Chairman
Ken has more than 20 years experience in the manufacturing and distribution business sector.
He joined RLF in 2000 and was appointed Managing Director in 2002.
Since this time he has assumed responsibility for the development of strategic supply alliances that
has enabled RLF to offer a comprehensive range of crop production products to the market. Ken
initiated the expansion of the business into China, including the establishment of a wholly owned
Foreign Enterprise (Rural Liquid Fertilisers China (Kaifeng) Co. Ltd.) located in Henan, China.
He is also Managing Director of RLF China and works between RLF’s Australia and China offices.
Ken Hancock | Managing Director
Dr Nassery is a Plant Physiologist and heads the company’s Research, Development and
Technical team.
He joined RLF in 1995 and brings the knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry with over 40
years experience gathered from a variety of senior government, research and commercial positions.
Hooshang has an extensive international academic and research record, and is credited with 25
major scientific publications on projects related to plant physiology. He has also played a central
role in a number of new product developments including ground-breaking seed nutrition technology.

Guan Hock is a Certified Practicing Accountant and is responsible for the company’s finances in
Australia, and in China. Prior to joining RLF in 2007 he worked in both Mainland China and
Malaysia, assuming company and group accountant roles for organisations with turnovers
exceeding $45m.
Guan Hock speaks fluent Mandarin and is based in Australia.
Guan Hock Beh | Chief Financial Officer
Dr Lu is responsible for operations throughout China and has significant management experience in
both the Western and Eastern fertiliser markets. His business development and management
credentials are further supported by PhD in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition.
His expertise is highlighted by several senior appointments held including that as Business
Development Manager Cargill Fertilizer Inc. (USA) and Executive Deputy Manager, Cargill Tianjin
China, (US-Sino Joint Venture).
Mike is fluent in Mandarin and English and brings to the business an exceptional understanding of
both Western and Chinese cultures, business practices and government compliance requirements
for companies operating within China.

Grant joined RLF in 1999 and has extensive experience in fertiliser and broadacre
farming enterprises.
His early experience in family farming operations in Western Australia underpins his ability to
establish long term relationships with many of Australia’s leading growers in the dry-land and
irrigated broadacre markets. He has represented the company in the USA and Canada and has
been instrumental in establishing export sales to these markets.

Mathew brings a wealth of senior management experience to the company together with an established
record of commercial relationships developed whilst working within the agricultural business sector.
His family farming background and previous career tenures at both Elders and Wesfarmers have given
him a strong affinity for the agricultural sector. He joined RLF following a stellar executive career with
Elders spanning 24 years, during which time he was National Manager Supply Chain and Fertiliser,
where he implemented a review of the total Supply Chain within the merchandise business. He was
later appointed General Manager Merchandise, controlling a budget in excess of $1.2b.
Mathew possesses considerable knowledge and experience with investment in the Hi-Fert
manufacturing and distribution business, as well as import and supply chain mechanisms.

Melanie brings strong academic and career-based experience to company operations. She joined RLF
in 2007 and assumes responsibility for the Material Procurement Division.
Her previous experience with one of China’s largest ammonium nitrate producers, the Kaifeng Chemical
Industrial Group, afforded significant international exposure and experience with contract negotiations.
Melanie is an English Graduate and has further qualifications as a Customs Specialist for both
Import/Export.

Gavin Ball is the RLF director responsible for Global Markets. Mr. Ball has over 25 years hands-on skill
and intellectual expertise in the start-up, development, growth and ongoing management of business.
He has operated a diverse range of businesses aligned with real estate, telecommunications, retail,
media and technology and has recognised the valuing-adding potential for each enterprise. He was
director and founding partner of AMT Group, the company owning one of the largest telecommunication
retailers in Australia, Walk-n-Talk Mobile and several other related communication investments.
Working in numerous executive roles, Gavin has a proven management, financial, accounting and
strong sales and marketing skill set. In his role as Director, Global Markets, Mr. Ball works with RLF
international distribution partners and manages a group of RLF direct international sales and
marketing operations.
