At NEPEAN™ we’re proud to be Australia’s leading privately owned engineering, mining services and

industrial manufacturing organisation.

Since my father David founded the company in 1974, NEPEAN has grown quite considerably. Through hard work, technical credibility and a willingness to tackle very difficult projects, we have earned ourselves an enviable reputation as an innovation leader in design, manufacture, service, and support of specialised product and service solutions.

During these 40 years, continuous investment in equipment, facilities, people and research and development irrespective of market conditions has greatly strengthened our capabilities.

Today we service our customers through our four Divisions; NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation, NEPEAN Mining, NEPEAN Building & Infrastructure, and NEPEAN Transport, and employ over 1200 people across 8 countries.

NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation is the heart of NEPEAN.

We’re proud of our long-standing reputation for technical excellence and innovation, gained over 40 years in business providing a full engineering service to the mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, scientific, defence, automotive and agricultural sectors.

NEPEAN’s Engineering operations include custom design and construction of special purpose machinery, complex machining and precision tool making, laser cutting, heavy and light metal fabrication, sheet metal, shot blasting, painting and powder coat finishing.

Operations are supported by extensive design facilities with state-of-the-art machinery, with all products manufactured under a quality assurance system complying with ISO 9001.

NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation has the depth, diversity, capability and experience to successfully deliver on the largest and most complex engineering projects.

NEPEAN Structures is our structural steel major projects arm, offering structural steel and project management solutions to the Australian construction industry.

Transport has the capability to supply four specialist solutions:

NightOwl® light towers

NEPEAN Transport offer a large range of Mine-Spec NEPEAN NightOwl® light towers. 100% Australian owned and operated, NEPEAN NightOwl light towers are manufactured in Australia and sold directly to large hire operations, mines and various contractors for applications in construction, mining, events, road works, emergency rescue, general industrial and maintenance operations.

Known for superior quality and rugged construction, NEPEAN NightOwl light towers offer the traditional floodlight version in 4 or 6 heads, ‘glare free’ HTI Balloon light towers and the all new ‘low glare’ low maintenance Barrel light tower. Along with additional capacity to manufacture light towers to custom specifications.

In addition to designing and manufacturing the range of light towers, NEPEAN Transport also provide a complete repair and maintenance service and a full range of replacement parts.

Bliss-Fox® ground support aircraft tractors

For 50 years Bliss-Fox have designed and manufactured a complete range of push back and tow tractor models supplying them to over 40 countries throughout Asia, Australia, Pacific, Middle East and Europe.

VIS-Check® world’s leading roller brake, steering and suspension testing equipment

NEPEAN Transport is the leading supplier of brake testing equipment to enforcement agencies in USA, Canada and Australia.

The VIS-Check tester produces a Safety and Efficiency Report to guide maintenance activities and can be manufactured to be installed in-ground, above ground and also integrated into various trailer systems to suit any installation for on-road and off-road heavy transport vehicles.

VIS-Polish® world’s leading robotic aluminium wheel polishing equipment

VIS-Polish is a fully automated robotic wheel polishing system that restores aluminium truck and bus rims to mirror finish. The VIS-Polish quickly refurbishes road-weary wheels to reveal any hidden damage before a wheel can break.

Through our specialist mining companies, we have the capability to supply fully integrated turn-key mining systems.

NEPEAN Conveyors has grown to become one of Australia’s most successful suppliers of large scale, fully integrated, mining conveyor projects. We offer complete, engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions for surface mining, underground coal, hard rock mining, port facilities and process plants.

NEPEAN Longwall designs, engineers and manages the construction and delivery of complete longwall mining systems. Longwall also offers maintenance, refurbishment and upgrades for a suite of underground longwall equipment including roof supports, armoured face conveyors, stage-loaders, crushers, panlines and bootends.

NEPEAN Power is a market leader in design, manufacture, supply and overhaul of mining and industrial electrical equipment.

At NEPEAN Building & Infrastructure our vision is to be the trusted industry expert within our

core markets with a reputation for excellence in manufactured steel products and long term customer commitment.

We are currently Australia’s foremost privately owned fully-integrated manufacturer of fabricated metal products and hot dip galvanising services, supplying Australian industrial, civil, construction, architectural and mining markets.

The core business was originally founded in the 1950’s and has evolved into a mature organisation with industrial manufacturing, galvanising facilities and sales branches in 5 Australian locations.

Our brands include:

Weldlok® Grating, Handrail and Drainage products including the well-known Balltube® handrail system and Forgebar® grating.
