3General guidelines for the application of tapes
• Requirements to substrate/backing:- free of dust- without grease/oil- dry
• During application, the following products should not be used:- talc- silicone spray- release agents- hand cream
4Adhesive tapes shall always be converted from the roll
Do not store tape parts. Do not touch tape ends with (oily) fingers!
5Always use the roll close to the harness
Do not make a loose „JOJO“-winding.
A tight, regular winding with a final triple winding on the tapes backing
is perfect.
6Do not cut the tape too far, but ...
… always very close to the harness!
7A diagonal cut end is easier to fix
approx. 45°
Cut the tape with an angle of approx. 45 °.
Important:short and tight pressure!
8The final winding must be fixed with a short but strong thumb-pressure
9Never stick the tape ends diagonally on the harness, but ...
... with a triple winding on it´s own backing.

10Stringing during processing
If during application threads loosen at the tape´s edges, please cut them off and continue the wrapping process.
11Thick tapes need special attention:
The final winding of thick tapes like Coroplast 833 MPXor Coroplast 834 MPX should be fixed with an appropriate tape, e.g. Coroplast 837X or Coroplast 317.
