Our Cornish Residentialcentre is based on the Tremough

campus, a campus shared between theUniversity College Falmouth and the University

of Exeter. The campus is set in 75 acres of beautiful,well maintained grounds with attractive buildings and

accommodation, with everything within easy reach.The accommodation, classrooms and canteen areclose together and the whole campus is only 15

minutes walk from the town of Penryn,making getting around easy

and stress-free.

Penryn isone of Cornwall’s most ancient

towns, with a wealth of history stretchingback to the Middle Ages. Described locally as

‘the sleeping beauty of West Cornwall’, Penryn hasrecently been the focus of a regeneration funding project,

resulting in the renovation of many historic Tudor andGeorgian buildings. Together with the advent of the

Tremough Campus (a short walk from the town centre),this has turned Penryn into a burgeoning and

prosperous small town with a wonderful 18thcentury town atmosphere and a plethora

of small independent shopsand cafes.

As Tremough is a Cornish campus,the programme focuses on Cornwall’s

culture and heritage, with excursions to thebeautiful countryside surrounding Penryn.

As Tremough campus is also a centre for artand creative media studies, our programme

also includes art and drama options, aswell as zumba, keep t and sports

sessions on campus.

Sample Programme

As this centre is based in SW Cornwall in thetown of Penryn, only 2 miles from the beach, there

is a great mixture of beach and cultural activities onoffer. Students will have activities every afternoon and some

examples of these activities are: Walking tours of Penryn , tripsto the beach and to local tourist attractions such as the Lizard,St Michael’s Mount, Poldark Mine, Pendennis Castle plus one

afternoon a week of different sports and workshops such as football,basketball, zumba, cycling, dance, art, drumming and yoga workshops.Every weekend there is a full day trip to a variety of interesting places

for example: Newquay,, the Eden Project, Looe and Polperro andSt Ives. We also make sure that there is at least one activity

every evening for example: Discos, Karaoke, Englishdebates, Fashion shows, Movies and Popcorn,

Quiz, Scavenger Hunts etc.. Additionaland optional activities are also

available on request.
