Well done Em a wonderful effort over the 2 days. Another award was handed out during the presentation and that went to Alanna, who received a ‘Having a Go- Sportsmanship’ plaque, after being recognised by officials throughout the day taking part in various track events with fantastic spirit. She was committed to taking part in all events that were on offer, no matter what the outcome was to be. Well done, Alanna!Well done to ALL Corndale students. You were fantastic competitors, respectful challengers and your behaviour over the two days was outstanding. What I enjoyed the most over the two days was the way the children congratulated each other on their achievements. Not just for receiving a ribbon but for just having a go and taking part in the event. That is so heart-warming! Thank you to the supportive parents and grandparents who transported, as well as supported the students during both carnivals. The date for the next level of competition and the students who have qualified by times(track), distance (field events) or height (high jump) will be advertised as soon as results have been finalised by Dunoon district officials.

FARMER FOR A DAY Senior students have requested that this Thursday 16th August, all students and staff are to come to school dressed as a farmer for the day. Families are asked to dig deep and give generously, so that our student council can raise some much-needed funds which we can forward to the drought appeal. The school will also contribute to this worthy cause.

BOOK WEEK DRESS UP The students are asked to come dressed as a book character next Wednesday 22nd August. Children can bring their favourite book to share with others during a sharing session.
