CoreNet Global Women’s SIG 2011 Operating Committee Descriptions
Co-Leaders The co-leaders provide leadership and broad oversight/ guidance for Women’s SIG planning.
TreasurerPrepares budget for Women’s Conference and Summit activities with Finance/Sponsorship Committee. Approves expenses for payment by CNG, reconciles income and expenses with budget and liaisons with CNG.
Operating Committee ChairsWork closely with co-leaders to develop overall strategy to include programming, membership, financial reporting, fundraising, event planning. Recruit and lead volunteers to assure mission and goals are met.
EventsProvides leadership for the Host Committee for the Annual Women’s Conference and assures that the model developed by co-leaders and operating committee chairs remains consistent. Includes selection of hotels, dinners, venue, catering, social networking, etc. Liaison with Sean Hewitt (CNG) for hotel contract.
Works with CNG to coordinate the logistics at the Women’s Reception and Session at the Summits.
MembershipDevelop overall strategy to include a plan that targets senior level professional women to participate in the Women’s SIG. Identify “sponsors” and “mentors” in the organization for 1) the Sr. Women’s Advisory and 2) as qualified sponsors/mentors for Young Leaders. Identifies potential volunteers for operating committees.
Operating Committee Descriptions
LearningDevelops the overall theme and topics for Annual Women’s Conference. Selects and recruits speakers and provides input into all learning programs, future webinars and works with CNG’s Chief Learning Officer to expand content.
Develops the agenda and session at the Summits – either a breakfast or an afternoon session with a speaker.
Communications (with CNG)Website/Newsletter - Work with CNG to develop Women’s Microsite. Oversee content and encourage volunteers to submit articles of interest. PR - Develop Women’s branding strategy for use on website, press releases and all external communications. Develop content for The Leader Magazine and for the Summit Daily Reports. Eblasts – Develop schedule for communicating with members
Sponsorship/FinanceDevelop sponsorship strategy, work with co-leaders, Women’s SIG Treasurer, Operating Committee Chairs and CNG to identify and contact prospective sponsors. Reports on prospect status, commitments, and payment status. CNG to invoice sponsors. Follows up with sponsors to insure that they receive all anticipated benefits.
Work with Treasurer in gathering information from Committees to prepare the budget for CNG approval.
