The Ming Thing was engaged to produce three different comedy sketch videos that ties together alongside Canon Malaysia’s #FreeWhoDowan contest campaign. Amongst the three, ‘Conversations with Dad’ had the most favourable response from the audience due to the genuine & relatable situation depicted.

The Ming Thing was engaged to create a story-centric product video for Panasonic Viera TV without looking too hard sell. To date, the video is in our top 10 list of most popular video on our channel - garnering positive comments in regards to the story idea, effective product placement and creative humour.

Huawei approached us wanting to produce a one-off video for their upcoming flagship phone under their belt (Honor 7). We switched things around and proposed a 5-episode web series concept instead. We also had Singapore Tourism Board to come onboard as secondary sponsor for our entire shoot that took place in Singapore.

The Unplugged Project is a 4-part video series that we were already planning to produce on our channel (with or without sponsors). Halfway through pre-production, we figured this series would be beneficial for any brands to make a standpoint via this PSA series on the topic of people being too caught up with their phones. Hence, we touched base with Digi - all they asked for is for us to make GOOD content and they’ll be more than happy to sponsor our whole series budget.

Apart from making branded content on The Ming Thing channel, Core Studios also produce client videos to be uploaded on the brand’s video channel (Facebook / YouTube). This is an online commercial that we did for LANEIGE in conjunction with their Christmas Lucky Holiday campaign.

Core Studios also offer creative consultation for video campaigns. We assisted in crafting #ineedtheLAT campaign for McDonald’s Malaysia to promote their Spicy Chicken McDeluxe burgers. We conceptualized & produced some of their videos and they were pleased with the responses garnered.
