1. Workplace safety

2. Electrical safety

3. Personal safety

accidentally. Ensure that the electric tool is switched off before you connect the tool to the power supply and/or insert the battery, or pick up or carry the tool. Physicallytouchingtheswitchwithyourfingerwhencarryingthetoolorconnectingthetooltothepowersupplyswitchedoncanleadtoaccidents.

• Remove adjusting tools/wrench(es) prior to switching on the power tool.Atoolorwrenchthatispositionedinsidearotatingpowertoolpartcancauseinjury.

4. Using the treatment of electric tools

• In case of incorrect use, fluid may escape from the battery. Avoid contact with it. If you touch it by mistake, rinse the affected area with water. If you get the fluid in your eyes, also seek medical advice. Leakingbatteryfluidcancauseskinirritationorburns.

5.2 Fitting the long handleUsingthetelescopiclonghandle(Fig.1/Item5)youcanpushthecordlesstrimmeronwheelsoverthelawn.

Tofitthelonghandle,pushthemount(Fig.3a/Item8)ontothelonghandleuntilthelock(Fig.3a/Item1)engagesinoneoftherecessesonthemount.Theequipmentisprovidedwithonerecessatthetopforstandardcuttingandtworecessesontheleftandrightforcuttingedges.Nowpassthewheels(Fig.3b/Item2)throughtheaxlemountandpushtogether.

Undotheclampcoupling(Fig.1/Item6),adjustthetelescopichandletotherequiredlengthandthenretightentheclampcouplingagain.Nowpushthetrimmerunitinthedirectionindicatedbythearrowintothemount(Fig.4a/Item8)asshowninFigure4a.Ensurethatthemountlocksintotherecessescorrectly.Thenconnectthepowerplug(Fig.4b/Item1)totheequipmentasshowninFigure4b.Todisassemble,proceedinreverseorder.

Important!It is prohibited to remove or bridge any of the switching elements installed on the tool by the manufacturer (e.g. by securing a button to the handle) as this would prevent the tool from switching off automatically and result in high risk of injury. Under no

circumstances are you to use the shrubcutter with the telescopic long handle fitted.

6. Operation

Theareatobecutmustfirstbeclearedofstonesandothersolidobjects.Thesafetylock-off(Fig.1/Item3)preventsthetoolbeingstartedunintentionally.Activatethesafetylock-off(Figure1/Item3)bypushingitforwardandpressingtheON/OFFswitch(Figure1Item4)atthesametime.Toswitchoffthetool,letgooftheON/OFFswitch(Figure1/Item4).

6.1 Cutting grassAllowthegrasscuttertoglideabovetheground.Thebestresultsareachievedwhenthelawnisdry.When you notice a drop in cutting performance, recharge the tool immediately so that the battery does not become fully discharged.

6.2 Trimming hedgesThetoolcanbeusedtotrimsmallhedgesandshrubs.Holdthetoolslightlytiltedinrelationtothehedgeyouwanttocut.Firstcutthesidesfromthebottomup,thencutthetop.Watchoutforforeignobjectsinoronthehedgewhichcoulddamagetheblades.Whenisthebesttimetotrimhedges?•Asageneralrule,hedgeswhichlosetheir

leavesintheautumnshouldbetrimmedinJuneandOctober.

•HedgeswhichdonotlosetheirleavesshouldbecutinAprilandAugust.

6.3. Changing the bladesImportant. Risk of injury!Alwaysfittheprotectivecovertothebladesbeforechangingthebladesontheunit.

Toremovetheblades,raisethelug(Fig.6/Item1)andpushoffthecover(Fig.6/Item2)indirectionofthearrow.Onceyouhaveremovedthebladeyouwillbeabletoseethetoothedwheelsofthegearunit(Fig.7).Makesurethatnodirtgetsintothegearunitwhenyouchangetheblade.Toassemble,proceedinreverseorder.

When you fit the shrub cutter bladeEnsuretheprotectivecoversarefittedtothebladesbeforechangingthebladesontheunit.Checkthepositionofthepinfortheeccentricconnector(Fig.7/Item1).Taketheshrubcutterbladeandslidetheeccentricmount(Fig.8/Item1)intopositionsothatthepinfortheeccentricconnectorandtheeccentricmountfittogetherpreciselywhenassembled.Slottheshrubcutterbladeontotheguidepins(Fig.7/Item2).

When you fit the grass cutter bladeEnsuretheprotectivecoversarefittedtothebladesbeforechangingthebladesontheunit.Checkthepositionofthepinfortheeccentricconnector(Fig.7/Item1)again.Shifttheeccentricmount(Fig.9/Item1)onthegrasscutterbladetotheleftortherighttofindthepositionatwhichthepinfortheeccentricconnector(Fig.7/Item1)andtheeccentricmount(Fig.9/Item1)matchup.

7. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

7.1 Cleaning•Keepallsafetydevices,airventsandthe

motorhousingfreeofdirtanddustasfaraspossible.Wipetheequipmentwithacleanclothorblowitwithcompressedairatlowpressure.

•Werecommendthatyoucleanthedeviceimmediatelyeachtimeyouhavefinishedusingit.

•Cleantheequipmentregularlywithamoistclothandsomesoftsoap.Donotusecleaningagentsorsolvents;thesecouldattacktheplasticpartsoftheequipment.Ensurethatnowatercanseepintothedevice.

•Afewdropsofoil(e.g.sewingmachineoil)willimprovethecuttingperformanceoftheblades,butneverapplyanygreasetotheblades.Toensureconstantexactcuttingitisalsoimportanttoremovegrassremnantsanddirtfrombetweentheupperandlowerblade.

Important!Never clean the tool under running water - and particularly never with high pressure - because of the potential danger to persons and property. Keep your cordless grass trimmer in a dry and frost-proof place. Choose a place that children are unable to enter.

7.2 Maintenance•Toachievegoodresultsyoushouldkeepthe

bladessharpatalltimes.Inparticularwerecommendthatyouimmediatelyleveloffanyjagsorridgescausedbystonesorthelike.Thetoolshouldbethoroughlycleanedbothbeforeandafteruse.
