Country of Origin Documentation:

•By providing documents each year to verify the country of origin of your goods, GHSP is able to provide qualified documentation to our customers. US customs requires back up documentation for each country of origin certificate produced.

•GHSP has sent out request to each vendor for the 2016 verification, please make sure that the Country of origin certification is sent to the GHSP compliance team- [email protected]

•If you ship goods only domestically GHSP still needs country of origin documentation from your company. Your parts are used to build parts for our customers, in order to “qualify “ parts manufactured by GHSP, we need to document each piece of the finished product.

•When a new part is ordered, make sure that the country of origin certificates are sent to GHSP Trade Compliance prior to the first shipment of parts.

Certificate of Origin (form 3229) : The certificate of Origin is to be used for goods being shipped to other non-NAFTA countries and for goods that were not manufactured in the US, Canada & Mexico

Classification:

•When completing the country of origin documentation or Exporting your goods to GHSP you will be expected to classify your goods with the first six digits of the tariff number (HTS) or a schedule B number on your documentation.

•If your shipping department needs assistance in classifying the goods, please have them contact the Trade compliance Leader at GHSP –Liz Wellborn ([email protected])

Denied Party Screening:

•In order to comply with security requirements, prior to exchanging goods or intellectual property with our trade partners, GHSP us required to screen each party against the government watch list

•Digital information: prior to exchange of digital information between business groups (plans, details) each party will need to be screened. If you will be forwarding plans/diagrams from GHSP to a foreign affiliate, GHSP must be notified prior so that the foreign entity can be screened against the required watch list.

•If visiting a GHSP location, we will need the names of all parties that will be in the building for screening purposes.

When shipping goods into a GHSP US location from outside of the country:

•Provide a commercial invoice for customs purposes, which should be identical in value to the invoice sent for payment.

•In unable to provide a commercial invoice a pro-forma invoice can be provided.

•The purchase order number must be listed on all shipping documents.

•All commercial invoices must include accurate information on the goods, including part numbers and a common description.

• Goods cannot be listed as “kits” or “parts” each part must have detailed description and country of origin information

•All goods must be marked with the country of origin unless they are listed on “J” list.

•List all cost related to the transaction on the invoice and make sure that charges are labeled correctly, Freight Charges, packing cost and assist must be listed separately.

Information to be included on commercial invoice:

•Name and address of Seller and Shipper

•Name and address of buyer and consignee

•Date of invoice

•Terms of Sale (INCO Terms)

•Relevant purchase order of scheduling agreement

•Item number and detailed description of merchandise, including the full common name of the merchandise (In English)

•Number of units

•The unit value of each piece

•Extended value

•Country of origin of each unit

•Gross and net weight of the shipment

•Harmonized tariff classification of all units

•Invoice must be in English or translated into English
