Upon the completion of the course, students should be able to: - to write in clear, formal English, as is generally demanded in an academic context: writing informative/persuasive/analytical essays, - use the language knowledge and skills they have learned for effective study in an English- speaking environment. - apply integrated learning skills acquired from the process of language learning in their further study, including: + reading on purpose and writing essays/reviews, + listening and note-taking, + doing research and writing reports and/or giving oral presentation, + debating/discussion, etc. This course of study is for students of advanced level learners who need to be able to understand and use the English in the academic context. The units are organized thematically linked sections and cover a wide range of subjects while introducing various testaking skills. ENL101 or ENI301

The main objective of the course is to help students develop the academic language and

academic skills through learning English language. Besides, the course aims at providing

students with exam skills and strategies necessary to achieve proficiency in English.

Upon the completion of the course, students should be able to:

- to write in clear, formal English, as is generally demanded in an academic context: writing

informative/persuasive/analytical essays,- use the language knowledge and skills they have learned for effective study in an English-

speaking environment.
