LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

1WHAT IS LEARNING ENVIRONMENT?Learning Environment -refers to the entire range of components and activities within which learning happens.

Physical EnvironmentPsychological ClimateFacilitative Learning EnvironmentPhysical EnvironmentPhysical environment -refers to the level of upkeep, ambient noise, lighting, indoor air quality and/or thermal comfort of the schools physical building and its location within the community.

The physical environment of the school speaks to the contribution that safe, clean, and comfortable surroundings make to a positive school climate in which students can learn.

Physical environment is related to both student achievement and student behavior.

Decent, safe, and secure facilities are essential to successful educational programs.

Psychological Climate

Psychological Climate - sometimes is referred to as the learning environment, as well as by terms such as atmosphere, ambience, ecology, milieu, emotional and the physical aspects of the classroom.

Basic Components of Psychological ClimateRelationship -the nature and intensity of personal relationships within the environment. The extent to which people are involved in the environment to support as well as helping each other.

Personal development -basic directions along which personal growth and self enhancement tend to occur.

System maintenance and change - the extent to which the environment is orderly, clear in expectations, maintains control, and is responsive to changeFacilitative Learning EnvironmentFacilitativelearning environment is where the students are encouraged to take more control of theirlearningprocess. Which promotes and facilities the individuals discovery of the personal meaning of idea

Which emphasizes the uniquely personal and subjective of learningIn which difference is good and desirable

Which consistently recognizes peoples right to make mistakes

Which tolerate ambiguity

In which evaluation is a cooperative process with emphasis on self-evaluationWhich encourage openness of self rather than concealment of self.

In which people are encourage to trust in themselves as well as in external sources

In which people feel they are respected

In which people feel they are accepted Which permit confrontation

A conductive learning environment is necessary in the full development of the cognitive and appetitive faculties of the learner.

In our project, I am a teacher and a team member. We share our work and depend on each other. We all share a passion for excellence and a desire to succeed despite any odds.
