Rough ideasStep 1 I Started by opening a new document. I chose 900 x 600 pixels with a trans-parent background. Fill the document with # fcd384

Step 2I Duplicated layer 1 and named it duplicate “fibers”. I Set the foreground color to #746045 and background colour to 792c04 and then went to Filter > Render > Fibers and used the following settings: Veriance 28.9 and strenght 50.0

Step 3I Duplicated the previous layer and named it “knots”. Now I am going to add what I call knots in the wood. To do this, I went to Filter > Liquify. In the upper left-hand panel, I selected the Twirl Clockwise Tool (C). On the right side panel, I set Brush Size – 151, Brush Density – 62, Brush Pressure – 100, Brush Rate – 50. After playing around with diffrent sections of it I chose I chose to keep the knot below.

Step 4I made a new layer and name it “separator 1 I am now going to make the notches or separators in the paneling. I Selected the rectangular marquee tool and set it to a fixed ratio with a width of 4px and height of 600px and then place it near the left side of my document. I fill this block with #806d53.Should look like the following: Lyer style , Innershadow colour 00000, distance 2,choke 0 , size 3.Outer glow , soft light , colour 2a1eod, size 7I Duplicated the first separator 4 different times and placed them so that they’re evenly spaced.

This is another idea I had but did not use . As cowboy movies are the big thing this year I decided to try and turn a whisky barrel into a gun barrel using similar steps as above

Page 3: Coprorate Identity

This is another idea I did not use . Here I tryed to make a design which looks like the bottom of a chamber in an old gun but at the same time a film real but in wood . I used the same steps as prvi-ous to creat the wooden texture .

Step 3 I put a inner shadow on circle to give it some depth.

Step 4 I changed the colour of each section and created the seperaters the same way as in before.

Step 5I added a boarder in a lighter shade with seperaters

Step 6I added a boarder to step 3 and duplicated step 5 six times .

JAMESON DUBLIN FILM FESTIVAL VISUAL IDENTITY

Step 1 I created a new document and filled the background colour fff1dc. Using eliptical maquee tool with my finger on shift I filled a perfct circle in black 00000.

Step 2Using the epliptical marquee tool I created a bigger circle with a red colour c30219 , stroke size 40. I then did the same for the cream fff1dc circle but with stroke size 10 .

Step 3I dupicated step 2 and resized it a little bit smaller.

Step 4Using the same red as before I made a smaller circle with a stroke of 10. Then using the pen polygone lassoo tool I cut out the top section of the circle making sure everything was lined up curectly first. I then used the shape line tool ,stroke 10 filled with the same red as before I duplicated this and placed it on the right side .

I have decided to base my logo on the bottom of a bullet as cowboy and ganster movies seem to be the big thing this year .

Step 5 Using the magic wand tool I selected the inside of the last shape and filled it with the colour fff1dc and resized it slightly smaller .

Step 6Once the last shape was filled I selected the rectangular marquee tool and deleted the most part of the shape so i just had the bottom part of the cream layer.

Step 7I copyed and pasted the step 5 shape .

Step 8I filled a new circle in black slightly smaller than the last shape so to have a cream boarder coming up the sides. I then deleted the lower half of the black circle .

I decided to add a ribbin to my logo which i based on a film roll

I had not seen the dublin internation film festival logo before as it is a very small part of their branding . But once I did I realised that my logo above is very similar to their existing one so I changed it up a below ..

Chosen piece

Page 10: Coprorate Identity

For the next few steps I individualy selected each shape putting inner shadow and drop shadow on them to give them depth.

Page 11: Coprorate Identity

Once I had finished putting shadows on the selected shapes I brought this piece of a film real into the document , I then selected it with the magic wand tool and deleted it , filling it in with a blue color .

I then placed a map of dublin city in the document and hid the layer, I selected the real layer with the magic wand tool and re-vealed the map and copy merged it and pasted so to have the map in the film real .
