1000 / management
• CAMS contractual arrangements are now in effect for most “productive” service elements and
reliably delivering products and services to the users.
• Monthly Service-Level Board meetings ensure coordination of all the CAMS providers and
exchange of information.
2000 / acquisition of in-situ data from research networks
• Direct negotations with in-situ data networks are taking place. The most advanced ones are with
IAGOS, ICOS and EAN(pollen): first draft technical proposals are now expected.
3000 / global production
• Satisfactory delivery performance of global products throughout the period. A model system
upgrade (including horizontal resolution increase to ~40km) is entering the e-suite operational trial
phase.
4000 / global system development
• Negotiations for ITTs on development of global greenhouse gases, reactive gases, aerosols and
fire emissions aspects are well advanced. The 4 contracts will effectively start on 01/04/2016.

5000 / regional production
• The regional production element of CAMS is operating, with
satisfactory performance and delivery statistics. The interface
of CAMS_50 hosted by provider Météo-France (FR) is now
fully integrated in the CAMS website.
• Steady growth in users is continuing.
6000 / regional production development
The 3 ITTs on developments supporting regional production will be released shortly.
7000 / supplementary products
• CAMS_71 (products in support of policy users) will start on 01/04/2016
• CAMS_72 (solar radiation) is up and running, operated by DLR (DE)
• CAMS_73 (greenhouse-gas fluxes) is up and running, operated by CEA (FR)
• CAMS_74 (climate forcings) is upand running, operated by U. of Reading (UK)
8000 / activities in support of production
9000 / communications, training and outreach

A total of 53 EFAS warnings have been sent to UK and Irish authorities for the winter storms (December 2015 & January 2016) causing severe flooding in the UK and Ireland
Next EFAS Annual Meeting with all partners will take place 6/7 April 2016 in Sevilla, Spain
Linking of EMS EFAS to EMS Mapping is ongoing
European Flood Awareness System - EFAS
Full EMS component since 1st October 2015
Not only fire danger (early warning), but active fires, burnt areas, land cover damage assessment, fire emissions, soil erosion and post-fire vegetation regeneration.
EFFIS seeks for synergies with other Copernicus services providing information on fires – (e.g. Atmosphere Monitoring Service (Global Fire Assimilation System).

11/3/2016
First in situ workshop with participation of the Copernicus services and the EC was held in February to jointly develop a roadmap for the implementation of critical cross-cutting coordination activities;
The dialogue with selected European in situ networks and
data providers have been reactivated with a view to improve coordination, exchange of knowledge and data access.
Based on input from Service providers an Updated version of
CORDA – Copernicus Reference Data Access – will be released in June. Additional reference data sets and new functionality will be added.
