Converting a Word File to an Activstudio Flip Chart

1. Open the Word document you wish to convert.2. From the toolbar menu select Edit and then click Select All.

3. From the toolbar menu select Edit and then click Copy.

4. Go to the Staff Applications folder and double click the icon for Activstudio Professional. The Activstudio desktop and toolbar will launch.

5. From the Activstudio toolbar click the Show Flipcharts button. A new flipchart will open.

6. Right click on the new flipchart and click Paste -> From Clipboard -> Image. The content from the Word document will appear as an image on the flip chart.

Note: The directions above are written for converting a one page Word document to an Activstudio flipchart. If you wish to convert a multi-page Word document you will need to first highlight all the items on one page by left clicking and dragging over the items with your mouse and then follow steps 3-6 above. You will need to do this for every page in your Word document. The end result is that each page of the Word document will be a new page in the flipchart.

When content is pasted as an image in the example above, the formatting remains the same but the text is converted to an image and thus it cannot be changed. If you wish to edit the text you will need to choose Paste -> From Clipboard -> Text in step six above.
