In the spirit of Convertible Caravans, we have decided it’s time to drive ahead with travel moments where the ordinary is even more than Extraordinary!

It’s time to sniff, sip, taste - and occasionally cook - our way along some of the most famous wine routes of the world. We savor and relish more than a mouthful of Italy, France or Greece as we journey along a “Tastes of Times”. (page 36).

It’s time to play …and definitely for more than a day! Discovering the pallet of Ireland’s 300 greens, we throw our clubs in the back of our cars and follow our pro in search of the

perfect “Green”. It’s Tee Time …and we’ve all “Gone Golfing”. (page 34 & 35).

It’s time to go “Vroom”!

Gentlemen love their toys, and Germany/Austria is home to all that is Fast, Fun & "Fenomenal”!

We drive on world famous tracks and “Vroom” past the boundaries of our imagination! We explore our limits in the canyons of the Austrian Alps and we soar past their clouds as we glide over mountain meadows. (page 36).

Driving and Renting a Car in Europe ...Concerned about renting a car and driving in Europe? You shouldn’t be! Convertible Caravans takes care of all the necessary arrangements and everything that you need, when renting your car in Europe. We’ve made it ALL hassle-free!

A few things are good to know in advance:

The minimum age of the driver must be 25, and he/she must hold a driver’s license that has been valid for a minimum of 1 year.

An International Driving Permit (IDp) is required, but does not replace your valid Australian/New Zealand driver's license. Both must be presented when you sign and pick up your car.

The Convertible Caravans of Europe can-not be held responsible if a car rental is de-

nied on the spot due to lack of holding an IDp and a valid Australian/New Zealand driver's license.

A credit card is required as a guarantee when receiving the car.

It is not possible to confirm the exact brand of the car previous to the rental.

For two people traveling together in one car, we offer an automatic transmission sedan vehicle and include one driver.

For four people traveling together in one car, we offer a crossover type vehicle and include two drivers. In Europe these types can both be manual or automatic transmission.

Convertible cars are on request. They can be manual or automatic transmission, according to the destination.

The obligatory CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and ThW (Theft Waiver) are included in your rental. Deductibles apply and we are happy to advise you the details upon the confirmation of your reservation, as well as details about the so-called “zero-deductibles”. We can also, at any time, give you information about PAI (personal Accident Insurance).

In countries where you pick up your car in one destination, and return it in another, we have included the One-Way Fee.

All our rentals include free miles/kilometers. The car is delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank.

Your Caravan Concierge will assist you on the spot with all the formalities of the rental.

Today we continue south along to the blue waters of the Mediterranean to the unique, picture book fishing villages of Cinque Terre. Clinging to the mountainous shoreline, for many years, they were accessible only by the sea. Today, we travel by train to the first village, riomaggiore, exploring the cobblestoned streets. Continuing on by foot to the second village Manarola, we stop to honor a tradition of lovers along the “Via dell’Amore” (pathway of Love). Closing our padlock with the love of your life, and throwing the keys into the sea, we seal a love “forever together”. We can choose to continue on or return by train, ferry or foot. The legendary, tipsy tower of pisa lures us to “be seen”, before we head into the peaceful region of Tuscany on the outskirts of Florence. In the cool of the morning, we make the short drive to the illustrious showpiece of the renaissance, on the banks of the Arno river; Florence. Home to some of the greatest artist treasures of the world, we explore by foot the highlights of this uNESCo World Heritage Site. our path leads us along narrow alleyways and historical streets, past towers, renaissance palaces and churches, to the imposing cathedral; Duomo. The jewel of the morning is one of the worlds-renowned institutions, and the first art schools in Europe, the Galleria dell’Accademia, including Michelangelo’s famous sculpture of David, paintings by Botticelli, uccello, Ghirlandaio, del Sarto and many other masterpieces.

Lunch is in a favorite osteria with the afternoon and early evening yours to explore more of Florence. perhaps a stroll across the ponte Vecchio, or gaze upon more of the world's greatest masterpieces of art, in Italy’s largest art museum, the extraordinary uffizi Gallery, or shop ...from elegant boutiques of haute couture to fine leathers, Italian gold and artisan market. Awakening to a city that is as fascinating as it is timeless, we make

our way past some of the most famous landmarks; the Coliseum, the roman Forum and the pantheon to name a few, arriving just in time in the Vatican City, the

papal enclave surrounded by rome. The treasures of the Vatican Museum are priceless. Here we will witness the magnificent beauty of the Sistine Chapel, with floors almost as amazing as the

ceilings; Michelangelo’s infamous frescos of The Last Judgment on the altar, and of course look up …Genesis, is on the ceiling! “Buongiorno!” Gathering at Naples airport by 11:00am, we meet our Caravan Concierge, pick up our cars and head to nearby pompeii, an ancient community buried in volcanic ash and mud. Brought to an abrupt halt 2200 years ago, when Mt. Vesuvius erupted, daily life just stopped in the middle of everyday activities. Following the ancient roads of the city, we’ll explore the well preserved ruins of homes, stores, temples and public spaces, visually narrating what roman life was like in this 1st-century city. They say the best pizza in Italy is in Naples! So, we sit down with Giovanni and taste the honest truth. A cable car whisk us to the unforgettable hilltown of Erice with its spectacular skyline of medieval castles, a famous ancient temple of love to Aphrodite, and breathtaking views to the sea. Strolling the ancient streets, we stop for a Sicilian lunch before tasting Maria’s world-famous marzipan candies and almond biscuits. Flavored with chili peppers, cinnamon, or even vanilla and everyone’s all-time favorite: chocolate! “Fáilte!” Gathering at Shannon Airport by 10:00am, we meet our Caravan Concierge, who is also a pGA Teaching Golf pro, and pick up our cars. Trying out the opposite side of the road, we drive north to the spectacular Atlantic ocean and Lahinch. Huge sand dunes, gusty wind, sun, rain and a wiry, hardy grass, all add to the perfect ingredients for one of the most challenging Links courses in the world; Lahinch Golf Club.

Tonight a delicious and informal dinner with Breda awaits at the hotel.

Catching the ferry across the Shannon estuary we drive to the majestic Ballybunion Golf Club with its beautifully contoured fairways that tumble down through a blanket of grassy dunes.

This morning, we drive partially around the ring of Kerry to Waterville Golf Links, rated 34th in the world. A mystical course, there’s plenty of time for 9/18 holes. Test our mettle before completing the ring of Kerry and returning back to Killarney.

*Not into golfing today? Join us around the Ring of Kerry with an Irish sheepdogs demo and the spectacular gardens and rooms of Muckross House. Dinners with Molly at a family run restaurant.

A leisurely morning and a chance to catch our breath and visit some of the sights. our day starts in one of Ireland's oldest and most historic castles; Blarney. Those hearty souls can climb the ramparts of the castle walls and kiss the magic stone, reputed to endow the “Gift of the Gab”. In nearby Cork, we stroll the colorful English Market and stop for a typical Irish lunch. A wee bit of Irish whiskey follows and an incredible story as we visit one of Ireland's most famous distilleries. Kinsale, a picturesque fishing village is our last stop for the day. The evening is yours to enjoy true Irish life. Overnight: Kinsale / Acton hotel or similar.

Today, we play the magnificent old Head Golf Links; a dramatic peninsula setting surrounded with spectacular views by the ocean. probably some of the most exciting shots you'll hit in your life!

This morning we head inland to the beautiful Mount Juliet Estate. An afternoon of golf at Mount Juliet Championship course, a Jack Nicklaus design.

Today, we drive the last leg of our incredible journey into Dublin. Time to tee-off at Ireland’s second oldest golf club, the royal Dublin Golf Club.
