CONTRAGANZAContra ganza is a dancing style. Its styles include leaping, crossing, stepping and stepping. The style is commonly seen in dance schools, and you can visit one to learn how to do it.
Chasing Step
This step consists of two motions. In the first motion, bring the rear foot forward until it is even (or nearly so) with the front foot; in the second motion, step forward with the front foot. This step covers about the same distance as the Passing Step. The Chasing Step consists of two Half Steps (see below). It is possible to perform this step backwards, in which case the first motion is to draw the front foot back near the rear foot and the second motion is to step back with the rear foot.
HEEL AND TOE POLKAInstructions
1Dig your right heel to the front, then jab your right toe to the back behind your left foot. The count:1 2.2Hop on your left to the count of "and."
3Step on your right to the count of "3."4Ball-change, left, right, on the count of "and 4."5Combine the steps of the heel-toe polka: Heel dig, toe jab, hop, step, ball change.
Gallop dance stepInstructions
1Step on your left and shuffle twice on your right to the count of "1 and 2 and a."
2Step on your right and shuffle twice on your left to the count of "3 and 4 and a."
3Step on your left and click your heels together on the count of "5 and."
4Step right and step left on the count of "a 6."
5Click your heels together and step on your right, then step on your left to the count of "and a 7." Hold count 8.
