Cancellation and refunds

The conference registration fee is refundable minus a $35 processing fee if notice is received by May 21, 2019. After that date, the registration fee is 50% refundable until June 1, 2019. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Continuing Education Information

AccreditationOregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CreditOHSU School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.™ Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Who should attendThis symposium is designed for clinicians, advanced practitioners and allied health professionals interested in the treatment and management of patients with complex aortic disease.

Physician Assistants The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ is acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification.

Nurses The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME, for the purpose of recertification.

CME Credit Information:Surveys will be sent out after the event, and must be completed by July 13 to receive credit for this event. OHSU’s CME department will email you your certificate within 90 days of the event.

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the Knight Cardiovascular Institute are proud to host the second biennial Multidisciplinary Aortic Dissection Symposium (MAD Symposium). This one‑and‑a‑half‑day symposium will feature internationally recognized opinion leaders on complex aortic disease. It is designed for clinicians and advanced practitioners in the treatment and management of patients with aortic dissection.

This conference offers a unique focus on type A and B Aortic dissections in a multidisciplinary environment that includes vascular and cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and aortic geneticists.

Course objectiveAttendees will learn the latest advancements in diagnosing, imaging, managing, and treating aortic dissection.
