The results of our activities can help all the teachers in schools and can be the piece ofadvice to our workmates how to work creatively. The partnership in Erasmus+ programme willimprove the quality of teaching and self-learning. All the students of our schools will be included inour project. We want to motivate our students to study math and all subjects through the project. Weare motivated to take part in the project by cooperation with the schools about Maths and working inthe e – Twinning project. Through this project we are going to motivate students who are not clever tobelieve in their possibilities, and we are going to develop competences of our good students. Theproject is a possibility for these two groups. Students can learn more and do not think about theirproblems.

Our school was founded in 1964. It is housed in an old building which was used as foundling hospital. It is located near the City Centre. Our city Heraklion, has about 180.000 inhabitants and it is thebiggest city of the Cretan district. Heraklion is a fast growing area. The school itself has 218 studentsaged 6-12 and is taught by a devoted team of teachers both in the morning and afternoon zonesincluding two special needs teachers for three students needing additional help. There are 2 classesin each level (two 1st classes, except for our 1th class which is not divided and has 21 students. Ourschools pedagogical team consist of 5 teachers including the principal and the vice principal of theschool. Each member of the team is fully qualified and they all share the same interest in innovativeprograms. Other than the basic studies, very often they all attend extra training courses and theyimplement in their teaching classes courses such as, environmental, health, anti-racist and alsoagainst peer bulling. They show great interest for European projects and they already haveparticipated in two successful Comenius (2009-2011 and 2012-2014). They have special bonds withtheir students and their aim is to make happy children with ethics and later on model citizens of theworld. They all work hard and they have the belief that above all are their student and their benefits.Another member of our team is the music teacher which is very talented. She is in charge of theschool’s choir and also the teacher’s choir of our county. Likewise, we have confidence in ourteachers' abilities to participate in a project of this magnitude as they all share expertise in variousskills that will be required such as ICT, Art, Music, Theatre and Foreign Languages with certifieddiplomas in all these specific areas. Our staff has also become a part of various projects thisacademic year initiated by the Ministry of Education involving "differentiation" undergoing training inthis field. This is an ongoing project involving all the students in our school with stress given inparticular to the issue of bullying and has already made a significant impact to all involved. Theteachers of our school are experienced, with at least 20 years previous experience and each yearthey undertake the design and implementation of cultural and environmental programs. They alsohave good knowledge of computers, foreign languages, music and theater. So we would love toencourage children to ask what would the fairy tales look like, or how would they change in themodern age. More what would some traditional fairy tale look like in a world full of modern science. We all know that children love fairy tales and they also love technology. We believe that this project isan excellent opportunity for our students to create modern fairy tales.

Our School has got 140 students and 13 teachers (students from 6-9). University diplomas withmaster’s degrees. Average Low to Medium level. The basic characteristic of our school is themulticulturalism of the students. More than 65% of the students are children of economic immigrants, mainly coming from the former Easter Europe Countries and children of gypsies (Roma) andrefugees from Syria. I am responsible for the project. I have ICT skills and a master diploma in matheducation and some diploma in games in schools through European Schoolnet Academy. I haveworked in an Erasmus project as a coordinator and in 2 Comenius projects. The teachers in ourschool have got long experience in learning technologies by getting involvedin projects such as:eTwinning, Games in School (webinar online seminar by European schoolnet academy) and aseminar took place in Brussels about Future classroom. Our staff includes teachers with masterdegree: [ ¬(4 in Educational Management and Leadership - 1 in Math education- 1 in Evaluation ofbasic Cognitive Skills- 1 in Chemistry- 1 in Music (she wrote the curriculum of music in our country)-1 in Art- 1 ICT in education. All the teacher are qualified and expert in their field)]. In case i leave mypost in the future, my role will take over by ICT Teacher Mrs Helen Papademetriou. Teacherseverywhere strive to motivate their students and engage them in learning. For many students, Mathsclass is too difficult to understand and boring. There are a lot of surveys that show students don't likeMaths and their anxiety level for Maths is high. Our school is highly experienced in the field ofimplemeting ICT so i think we will help to direct students who don't succed/like Maths through DigitalGames (to increase students' concentration and motivation) and Mental games. Our staff includesteachers with master degree and they will help with the project in many ways. Transnationalcooperation enables us to analysis the Maths curriculum of different countries, observe Mathsclasses in their own places, share the good practices, exchange information with Europeancolleagues and produce more powerful outputs. It gives opportunity to create a wide spectrum fromteaching methods of different countries and integrate this into our curriculum in order to developMaths ability of our students. Our school is highly experienced in the field of implementing ICT in theteaching process. It is also a member of eTwinning. It will be the first Erasmus + project for my schoolbut with staff that has completed 2 Comenius projects and an Erasmus+ project.

Please describe the motivation for your project and explain why it should be funded.

Tackling the problem of early school leaving is the one of the priority targets of Europe. In the EuropeStrategy 2020, it has been planned to reduce the dropout rate to %10 from the current 15 %. We aimto contribute the solution to this problem with this project “Social inclusion trough creativity". Usinggames while teaching lessons will be an effective method to increase pupils achievement and tokeep pupils aged 6-14 at school.

An important problem that we have when it comes to achieving the success of our students in theirstudies is motivation. Our students (especially the socially vulnerable), present poor schoolperformance and school failure due to lack of motivation.

For linking education and students’ training there should be creativity in lessons. Creative teacher notonly make an interest for pupils to learn, but also indirectly encourage them for self-development.Creative work will strengthen the learning process as well as the mutual relationship betweenteachers and students. Our schools aims to encourage development of the creative student’s potential as well as to developand to make classes more interesting by investing and sharing innovative ideas. We believe that theproject will help to compare, exchange and share opinions and experiences between students andteachers about creation process. Erasmus Plus project will strengthen the cooperation betweenparticipating schools.

The project "Social inclusion through creativity" is focusing to achieving and development a networkfor the exchange of best practices, methods and ideas in primary education.

The project will lead to chances for students and teachers by exchanging of experiences tostrengthen the European dimension and to improve the quality of schools through transnationalcooperation with participating in this partnership. This project is focused on our 6-14 years old student.

Our main aim is to draw our schools into an internationalization project so as to make our studentsaware of the surrounding socio cultural context beyond our own towns and nation. We believe thatthis is an appropriate way to make them realize about the European reality. We feel currently incharge of working on this target so as to ensure they will keep on building a better Europe in the nearfuture.

Integration of TIC, fary tales, music, dance, and the English language in the classroom should becarefully planned so that students acquire the critical thinking skills of application, reflection, andtransfer of knowledge. Music can create an imaginary world in the reading literacy that stimulates achild’s creativity. A box can become a drum, a stick can be transformed into a horn, or a broom canbecome a dance partner. Students make up songs or give new words to old songs for pureenjoyment. The use of new technologies and English, as basic tools of communication, will allowstudents and teachers to foster their skills to face up new challenges.

eTwinning:for comunicatingeTwinning enables ongoing collaboration between pupils. They work together between the mobilitiesand are therefore constantly immersed in the project theme. They therefore become more deeplyinvolved. In addition, the relationships created online are strengthened when they meet and the remote workthey have carried out is reflected in practical terms. For teachers, using the TwinSpace for working involves joint pedagogical planning for creatingidentical activities in each country. This enables us to bond as a teaching team and exchangepractice.for monitoring the projectThe teacher area helps us put together our schedule and alter it. We can set tasks. And above all, come to an agreement and discuss (e-mails, chats depending on the time difference). There are off-site links to Google Calendar and Google Drive (collaborative writing). We can create groups on it.And finally, it’s a place where pupils can find and meet up with fellow pupils from abroad who areinvolved in the project.Impact and dissemination:We will use eTwinning as a free digital showcase by publishing the project. We will use the free digital tools to add value to your project, such as the blog tool, document sharing, video production, creation of digital magazines, etc.We will apply for a national quality label. It is a guarantee of quality and provides access to thenational eTwinning competition, the European quality label and the European eTwinning competition. We will enter the national eTwinning competition: it is held every year for project leaders who havebeen awarded a national quality label.best practices:For pupils on eTwinningThe pupils will introduce themselves on a virtual wall and looked at the presentations of otherEuropean pupils. They will answere a quiz following the partner pupil presentations. They will met each other virtually and were able to forge relationships throughout the project.Constantly we will involve the pupils BEFORE THE MOBILITYInvolve all the pupils in the preparatory activities for the mobility by getting them to:we will share data,we will participate in forums,we will prepare documents for sharing during themobility.Constantly we will involve the pupils: AFTER THE MOBILITYwe will share the documents presented by each delegation during the mobility on eTwinning –available to all.we will create quizzes, enable the appropriation of information even when pupils have not physicallytaken part in mobilitywe will make use of the documents in lessons.Preparation about the mobilities:We will create a joint questionnaire (all project pupils). We will use the questionnaire in each country before the mobility (all project pupils). We will use and analyse the results together during the mobility. We will write together a section of the end product to which all the participants will have contributed.

How is participation in this activity going to benefit the involved participants?

Students will demonstrate in-depth understanding of the content and will achieve specific competencies, benchmarks by creating end products usingICT tools under movies, games, software, animations, audio recordings, online models, pages 18web, magazines online, wiki, blog. The integration of educational games in didactic activity allows pupils to learn from their own mistakes by motivating and creating competitivesituations. Educational games will be chosen in such a way as to stimulate pupils to use their cognitive potential. Students will experiment in a virtualcontext, simulate real-world situations (experiments requiring special conditions), or work in the context of problem situations created by the teacher.Students will become familiar with ICT tools, can produce interdisciplinary products by appealing to the experience of life and the universe of theirpreoccupations. Editing or processing images will integrate into learning so as to help students to project ideas in a new, interdisciplinary context, toact, to feel valued, to want to know more, to assert and to demonstrate that they are capable of performance.A feature of using ICT content is to provide a stimulating learning environment and the use of a wide range of means of communication andcooperation such as videoconferencing, audio-video files, blogs, multimedia tools, etc.The most important aspect of these learning activities is to prepare pupils for life, collaborate learning and cooperation, overcome the schoolframework, and address the issues of their community. As a matter of fact, students are actively involved in learning when tasks respond to theirconcerns and contribute to the formation of positive self-image.The final products made using Web 2.0 tools highlight student acquisitions, support collaborative learning and engagement. Learning also acquires anew perspective, tailored to the needs of students, ensuring their personal development.

The project "Social inclusion through creativity" is focusing to achieving and development a networkfor the exchange of best practices, methods and ideas in primary and secondary education. We feel currently incharge of working on this target so as to ensure they will keep on building a better Europe in the nearfuture.Integration of TIC, fary tales, music, dance, and the English language in the classroom should becarefully planned so that students acquire the critical thinking skills of application, reflection, andtransfer of knowledge.

In our modern global world the knowledge of foreign languages is becoming more and moreimportant especially if you want to work in an international company or work abroad. Our project "Social inclusion through creativity" provide a concrete framework for combined learning, transnational meetings, information, action and mobilities. Before joining this project, all schools have identified their educational needs by doing the SWOTanalyze as the following:Poor results in terms of basic skills by teaching more efficient and innovative is a priority of ourschools. Learning methods will be focused on the student. It will address a multidisciplinary andinterdisciplinary learning. Before joining this project, all schools have identified their educational needs by doing the SWOTanalyze as the following:NEED1Schools do not have an effective strategy to address poor results in terms of basic skills in math, science and literacy by teaching methods more efficient and innovative.Despite the tendency to operate differently depending on the level of each student, the principles ofmultiple intelligences, multi and interdisciplinary approach basically in classrooms this is sporadic, often in demonstration lessons. All classes are composed of students at risk of dropping out, students with learning disabilities.Specific objective 1Develop a strategy to address poor results regarding acquire basic skills by teaching methods moreeffective and innovative by schools involved in partnership for a period of 2 years.NEED2Schools need to internationalization.Specific objective 2There will be a proces of internationalization for all partners during the entered period of project.
