importance for the young generation.

The Communiqué will be disseminated throughout the world and shared, in particular, with the Heads of 193 States and 70

It is a meeting of members of state parliaments and youth parliaments from different countries, who are under 45 years of age,

with the purpose of exchanging ideas and experience in all the aspects of creating and implementing legislation.

At the conclusion of the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate a joint statement and declaration of cooperation between

all the young parliamentarians from around 200 countries will be issued.

What is the Purpose of the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate?

To encourage and develop cooperation between young parliamentarians with the view to exchanging ideas and experience in

all the aspects of creating legislation;

To define issues of specific relevance to young parliamentarians and how these issues relate to the broader interests of

different countries;

To mutually benefit from each others experiences in the life of a parliamentarian;

To create a platform for interaction between young parliamentarians and to facilitate easier cooperation on a day to day basis

over a wide range of issues. In the future this platform will develop as a mechanism whose purpose will be to foster and examine
