Destination InformationLos Cabos
Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor and the East Cape make up the entire municipality of Los Cabos. “Cabo” means “cape” and then the subsequent location is defined by the town. With over 30 miles of pristine
beaches, world-class golf, hotels, exquisite restaurants, resorts and some of the best eco-adventures in the world today, Los Cabos truly offers something unique for everyone, from younger to older, from families to couples or even
larger groups just looking to get away from their busy corporate lives.
A 23-mile highway called the “Tourist Corridor” stretches from San José del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas. Along this highway, you’ll find dozens of five-star hotels and a diamond hotel with world-renowned restaurants, which have
been known to lure A-list celebrities, professional athletes and the wealthy. In fact, many also own homes or villas in the area.
Los Cabos is where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, calls itself home to the famous “Arch”
located at “Land’s End” while combining a traditional Mexican lifestyle with pop culture. During the winter in Los Cabos, you can admire one of the most
beautiful natural phenomena to occur on Mexico’s coasts: the courtship, mating and birth process of the Humpback , gray and blue whales.
San José del Cabo is reminiscent of an older time, where the days are longer and the mood softer. However, its attractions are just as desirable as the more
Americanized Cabo San Lucas. The Old Jesuit Mission, known as Parroquia San José, has a history dating back to the 1730s, The Estero, an estuary with an endless variety of colorful birds and wildlife, offers a serene and tranquil escape, and the many quaint shops, boutiques and fine restaurants beckon
you to discover a treasure or two and then relax over local cuisine and a cool drink. San José del Cabo has recognized what a quieter atmosphere with a
historic downtown appeal offers, and the town is doing something about it. It’s protecting its charm by investing in the redevelopment of the downtown
area, creating a pedestrian village. Golfers can now play on the newest 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course at Club Campestre in San José as well as the
first of two golf courses at Puerto Los Cabos, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman. With the new marina open in Puerto Los Cabos, along with fishing charters from Palmilla, many fishermen are choosing San José del
Cabo for their next sport fishing trip.

Culinary Tourism & Gastronomy Los Cabos, Mexico, is well recognized in the world for its rich gastronomic tradition that offers a great variety
of dishes and beverages prepared with innumerable ingredients. The tastes, aromas and textures of these ingredients can charm even the most demanding palate and thus turn Los Cabos into one of the most important
destinations in the Northern Hemisphere offering eclectic international cuisines.
Mexican cuisine has drawn from its pre-Hispanic origins various culinary techniques, which are still in use to this day at a variety of restaurants in the Los Cabos area. When the conquerors came and founded the Spanish Colony
in Mexico, the native ingredients and techniques fused with the ones from the Old World, Asia and Africa. This gave birth to various exquisite dishes that currently represent the traditional Mexican cuisine like mole, chiles en
nogada, pozole and a whole range of salsas, beverages and desserts.
Puerto Los Cabos Tucked within a 2,000-acre master-planned resort community on the East Cape a short 10-minute drive from the historic downtown area of San José del Cabo, Puerto Los Cabos features a rare composite design by two of golf’s
most legendary figures. At present, the club features two distinctive nines designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus. (Each nine offers a preview of a future 18-hole layout to be built by each architect.) Both layouts are
etched into rolling desert foothills backdropped by the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, with all 18 holes perched high above the Sea of Cortez, the pristine coastline and the resort’s marina.
The Mission Course, a 3,590-yard, par-36 creation by Greg Norman that serves as the front nine and will one day function as a private club reserved for community homeowners, has over 400 feet of elevation change. With its
large, flash-faced bunkers used to signpost the fairways and defend the greens, the layout reveals Norman’s fondness for Australia’s classic Sandbelt courses.
The club’s 3,871-yard, par-37 Marina Course, by Jack Nicklaus, features rippling fairways, undulating greens and sculpted bunkers. Intended to be the resort course at the development, the Marina Course skirts the new Secrets
Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort and brings players to the sea at the beachside par-3 15th hole, its target a tiny green tucked in the dunes. Amazingly, all of the holes on both nines at Puerto Los Cabos offer expansive
panoramic views of the coastline and sea.
