FROM CHAIRMAN’S DESK Greetings! I am quite pleased to see that you are trying meticulously to materalize our joint vision of taking IIP to new heights. “IIPPRATIBIMB” would certainly be the milestone in our journey to the horizon. I congratulate to all the participants and the faculty who are directly or indirectly associated in this endeavour.
FROM DIRECTOR’S DESK Education, in essence, should bring to the fore the inner and inherent potential of the student. Educational Institute, therefore, has to distinguish itself by providing sound infrastructure for higher education to leverage knowledge and innovation. More so, since the society and the nation look up to these centres for fulfilment of their aspirations and exceptions. Education, be the primary or higher, need to go beyond its scope of merely imparting information and skill. It is precisely here that educational institutes have to play a pivotal role. It is rightly said that the child is not vessel to be filled but a lamp to be lit. Besides proactively providing an environment conducive to foster and nuture the inherent potential of
the students, the institute needs to consciously promote an inquisitive spirit among the students. The
students would then able to get acquainted with latest and upcoming research and inventions in science
and technology. Hence, the institute has the onus of providing a platform for overall development of
ethical, moral and human aspects of the personality of the students.
FROM PRINCIPAL’S DESK
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.” by Plutarch. I am happy to announce that Indore Institute of Pharmacy is bringing out “IIPPRATIBIMB” our College newsletter which kindles the imagination of our learners. This newsletter is intended to be published twice in a year. This inaugural issue is a brief account of the important events held between July-December 2019. This newsletter will definitely help to showcase the activities that are happening in the institute. It will also help in building up teamwork which is very essential in the present scenario. It is a platform for exposing the merits and academic achievements of the students and faculty. This would definitely create an impact in the minds of readers, by way of providing larger visibility and dimension to the institute. I congratulate the staff and students who used various mediums of expression to present their ideas. As long as our ideas are expressed and thoughts kindled we can be sure of learning, as everything begins with an idea. I appreciate every student who shared the joy of participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities along with their commitment to curriculum. That little extra we do, is the icing on the cake. ‘Do more than belong- practice. Do more than be fair-be kind. Do more than forgive-forget. Do more than dream -work. It is expected that wide support for this mission will be provided through the reader's valuable suggestions and comments. Happy Reading! Thanks

Plantation Indore Institute of Pharmacy has started an innovative task under the guidance of Honorable Director
General, Shri Arun .S. Bhatanagar, IIST/IIP/IIMR to make the earth much greener then what it is
now. Under this initiative the institute has formed the Green Waves Club. The college motivates
every single student and faculties to plant more and more trees. In the year 2019 the institute has
got thousands samplings planted in its own campus as per the vision of our Respectable Director
General Sir.
All India Council of Technical Education has started “One Student One Tree” campaign to increase
the green index of Indian environment. It is pointed out that all plants are not suitable for all location
and hence the researchers selected the trees based on their pollution tolerance level and ascorbic
acid index. Trees like Banyan, Neem, and Mango etc. have high tolerance level to all pollution while
other trees fail to stand with them. Careful selection of trees will ensure that the greenery last long.
Trees like Neem and Peepul are suitable for industrial areas. They withstand high levels of pollution.
They withstand high levels of pollution. They absorb the greenhouse gases and keep the city cool.
