The unit is about arranging for cargo export and import, co-ordinate with all
stakeholders for customs clearance and plan the most appropriate route for
shipping
Elective 2: Custom clearance
The unit is about the field and office activities involved in custom clearance
process including the check of shipment, organisation of documents and
coordination with custom officials for clearance of the same, sealing containers
and assistance in cargo inspections

The unit is about supervising executives for custom clearance activities and

To be competent, the user/ individual must be able to: PC1. obtain work requirement in discussion with the supervisor PC2. prepare a checklist documenting requirement for clearance PC3. receive basic KYC details of the importer as specified and GST details PC4. coordinate with the importer and obtain copies of invoice, packing list,
shipping bill/ Airway bill, Bill of lading, etc. PC5. obtain required documents such as delivery order, certificate of origin,
