Clubs participating in the Ulster League competition are reminded that

Armagh league fixtures MUST be played on or before the date in the

fixtures book.

Where a fixture clash occurs (club / county Camogie) the club / county

management involved should notify the fixtures secretary / county

secretary no later than 2 weeks prior to the date of the fixtures clash. On

receipt of notification a re-fixture date will be decided upon and issued to

all the clubs / county teams involved. This date will be prior to the original

date in the fixtures book and will become the official date of the said

fixture.

COUNTY BYE LAWS 2019 Fixtures

1. A list of byelaws be drawn up and included in the fixture booklet for the incoming year.

2. Fixture books be in place by March 1st.

3. A list of all county fixtures Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 and Senior are included in the fixtures book.

4. The Fixtures Committee deal with all fixing of games, appointment of referees & sourcing of pitches

5. Where a match has been postponed in accordance with rule 33.5 it must be refixed by the committee in charge within a two-week period from the date of the original fixture.

6. Where a fixture clash occurs (club or county Camogie) the club/ clubs / county management involved should notify the Fixtures Secretary and County Secretary no later than 2 weeks prior to the date of the fixture clash. On receipt of notification a refixture date will be decided upon and issued to the clubs involved. This date will be prior to the original date in the fixture book and will become the official date of said fixture.

7. At all levels if a replay is necessary it should not be played less than seven days from the first game.

8. After completion of County Board competition fixtures, any team withdrawing from a league or championship will be fined £25.00.

Leagues

9. The closing date in the Armagh Camogie League is the last Sunday in

September. If adverse weather is encountered throughout the


season the closing date for all fixtures to be extended and matches

will be fixed by the fixtures committee.

10. All league competitions can be played on either a one way or two-way league basis, at the discretion of the fixtures sub-committee.

11. In all league matches teams must match the number of players of the opposing team to a minimum and maximum of that outlined in An Treorai Oifigiuil

12. That a December County Board meeting be held to discuss applications for new clubs and to re-grade clubs or players. Championship draws to be made at this meeting.

13. Clubs are not permitted to enter any league / championship competitions until all monies owed to County Board for the previous year are paid.

14. U14 competitions are graded after consideration is given to club

requests & combination of the league results/placings from U14

(preceding year) & U12 (two years prior). Where sufficient results

are unavailable or a team has not participated in the competition

previously. The decisions made by the fixtures committee regarding

the re-grading of underage clubs is deemed to be final.

15. U16 competitions are graded after consideration is given to club

requests & combination of the league results/placings from U16

(preceding year) & U14 (two years prior). Where sufficient results

are unavailable or a team has not participated in the competition

previously. The decisions made by the fixtures committee regarding

the re-grading of underage clubs is deemed to be final.


Referees

16. A neutral referee is appointed for all championship fixtures, league finals and play offs.

17. All referees must complete a new referee/refresher course (in the current playing year) in order to referee any Armagh Camogie league or championship match.

18. Clubs must nominate one underage and one senior referee before they are allowed to take part in competition.

19. Clubs should be billed by the County Secretary for each game refereed on receipt of a referee’s report. The payment per club shall be £10.00 per underage game and £15.00 per senior game.

20. All clubs that participate in the Armagh leagues / Championships must pay referees expenses.

Championships

21. Championship final replay dates are only set provisionally and can be changed at the discretion of the executive to allow for use of that Athletic Grounds in order to promote our finals.

22. For all county championship finals, a player of the match award is given. Selections to be made by a County Board delegation and the referee of the match.

23. Those beaten in the first competitive match of the Senior championship can participate in the Senior Shield

24. Those beaten in the first competitive match of the Intermediate Championship can participate in the Intermediate Shield


25. Those between in the first round of the Junior Championship can participate in the Junior Shield

26. The Club hosting a Club Championship or a County League final match is to receive 25% of the gate collection.

27. A County Board Officer to be present where possible at all

Championship and league finals to present the cup / trophy. If not

available, another shall be appointed by the Executive.

28. All Championship Semi Finals and Finals will have neutral Umpires

29. When Adult Championship games are held in the Athletic Grounds,

all clubs must provide a minimum of 2 stewards over the age of 18,

with the exception if your club is playing on the night/day. Failure

to provide stewards who register on the night and adhere to the

regulations as set out by the official in charge will result in a fine of

£100 to the offending club.

Underage

30. Clubs must host at least one go games blitz at each age level

31. All children who participate in the All County Go Game Blitz day for U8 & U10 should receive a medal.

32. All Under 14 games should have duration of 25 minutes per half.

33. Armagh runs an under 18 or under 21 competition not both

34. The Under 18 competition to be organised in an appropriate way by the Fixtures Committee/ County Board dependant on the number of teams taking part.


35. In County Feile competition, all games should be completed as 2

halves.

PROs

36. Each Club submit a named PRO at the start of each year.

37. Only these named PRO’s be allowed entry into any county game pitch be it in league / championship/ finals etc. PRO’s should not need to be named in 5 allotted slots given to teams for match finals.

Convention & Awards

38. Club of the year will be based on the reports submitted to the county

secretary with the nomination papers. The County Executive will

shortlist the applications under consideration of the following areas:

Success in competition, Contribution to Camogie within the county,

Hosting of Games, Disciplinary record, good financial commitment to

County Board. The final decision on club of the year will remain with

the Executive.

39. ‘Personality of the Year’ be included in the nomination papers and then voted for at the Annual County Convention.

40. The personnel running the team pick the County Players of the Year.

County Board

41. All Clubs get a copy of previous month’s minutes before the next meeting takes place.

42. Clubs to be fined £25 for non-attendance at County Board meetings, including special meetings.


43. County Board will implement an equitable financial strategy whereby an overall fee (to be made known at the January County Board Meeting) is levied on all clubs whom are registered to Armagh County Camogie Board. This fee will be paid twice annually at the May and September County Board Meeting.

44. All sub committees must contain one member of the county board executive the remainder being made up from club representatives.

45. Proposals or recommendations from subcommittees seeking approval/ decision from county board delegates to be submitted by email to the county secretary (and copied to the county chairperson) at least seven days prior to the meeting of county board at which approval / decision is being sought. These to be circulated to clubs for consideration prior to county board meeting.

46. Additional league and championship medals must be paid for at time of ordering.

47. All Clubs participating in Armagh Leagues and Championships, without exceptions, pay all fines and support all fundraising equally.
