THIS PLACE HAS A LONG HISTORYthat extends far beyondits inaguration as the Linggarjati Roundtable Building in1985. This is where the Indonesian and Dutch Governmentsconducted the Linggarjati Roundtable discussion (fromNovember 11-12, 1946) during the nations struggle forindependence.
This Dutch home had actually been used a base for theJapanese military. It was also, at one point, a Linggarjati
State Elementary School. Now, the atmosphere of thebuilding has been made so that it reflects the atmosphereof the Roundtable discussion. The living room displays thefeel of heavy political maneuvering. There are also manypictures from the Dutch that documents the roundtableproceedings.
