Business News Giant Turkish contractors are said to have succeeded to generate $ 14.7 billion revenues from overseas contracts during 2017. That was revealed in a report published by the Turkish Ministry of Economy in the local media. Report disclosed that those companies have implemented since 1972 almost 9,260 projects valued almost $ 354.7 billion in about 119 countries most of which have been Soviet Republics & Middle Eastern countries, but obviously Turkish companies have performed reasonably well in those markets that they were able to capitalized on their performance. Interesting thing is that same is said to commodity exports to those markets & tourist arrivals from them.

Iraqi reconstruction scheme requiring almost $ 88.2 billion to cover damages and harms caused by the war & terror acts to which the country was exposed. That was formally announced by the Iraqi Minister of Planning, Mr. Salman Al Jumaily, including most serious damages incurred during the war with Daesh terrorists for almost three consecutive years. According the Iraqi Minister, figure includes $ 22 billion funds required immediately with the remaining $ 66 billion required on the medium term. Statements of the Minister came during the opening of the 3 days conference held on the issue in Kuwait. Worth indicating is that the conference was attended by Eng. Mehleb, Advisor to Presidentl El Sisi for National Projects. Highly seen Eg. Mehlib is accompanied with a delegation of representatives of 96 Egyptian companies.

After almost 7 years of shut-down since the revolution, measures taken to resume the renovation & revamping of the Greek/ Romanian Museum in Alexandria to go under L.E. 120 million suspended budget since 2011. It is considered the largest museum in Lower Egypt & the largest museum specialized in the Greek & Romanian Civilization in the Mediterranean Basin. According to General Samir Hesham Ibrahim, Assistant to the Minister of Antiquities for Engineering Affairs, actual works on site have already started. The museum is planned to host up to 90,000 pieces of antiquities now stored at the Ministry's warehouses. Projects in Pre-Tendering PhaseElag Est. of Saudi Arabia confirming its intentions to further penetrate Egypt's health care market. Sources close to Elag Co. were quoted in the media indicating their intentions to acquire Siaj Hotel in Pyramids, Giza, which shut down its operations since late 2010 after being exposed to several fire accidents which have damaged its infrastructure. Same sources further revealed that Elag is keen to procure the hotel and transfer it into a hospital after obtaining relevant approvals and licenses. Elag is keen to revive the hotel or revamp as hospital indicating that the hotel was lately evaluated at L.E. 185 million. Same sources have also revealed that Elag has finalized lately the acquisition of an administrative building, now under construction by El Nasr Co. for Civil Works, at the Embassies District in Nasr City, against L.E. 80 million. It is a 10 floors building occupying 8,000 M2 area & will be internally converted into a 100 beds hospital & considered as a branch of Al Orouba Hospital, also part of Elag Group also of 100 desa capacity.

Saudi German Hospital' Chain announcing plans to open 10 new hospitals in Egypt over the next 10 years involving 10 billion investments after having pumped L.E. 1 billion in its first hospital in Cairo of 300 beds capacity. That was announced by Dr. Med. Mohamed Hablas, the Executive Director of the Hospital, indicating the Group plans to reach 600 beds capacity over the next few years. Ho noted the project is an investment of Al Batarjy Family of Saudi Arabia. Worth indicating the group runs & manages also a large chain of pharmacies in the Kingdom.

Ayata statistics for 2017 revealing that tourists arrivals to Egypt in 2017 increased by 55 % with tourists from China, India and the Arab countries having the lead. Agency France Press has quoted Mr. Hesham Al Domeiri, head of the Egyptian Tourist Authority, indicating that tourists from India & China are now contributing by more than 12 % to tourist arrivals in Egypt. As regards tourism from Arab countries so their share has almost doubled from 15 % to 30%. Worth considering that the return of both Russian & Italian tourism may, once fully activated, completely change the scene upside down. Here remains both the internal security and stability factors as crucial coupled with the wisdom of Egyptians in their handling issues.

Giant Turkish contractors are said to have succeeded to generate $ 14.7 billion revenues from overseas contracts during 2017. That was revealed in a report published by the Turkish Ministry of Economy in the local media. Report disclosed that those companies have implemented since 1972 almost 9,260 projects valued almost $ 354.7 billion in about 119 countries most of which have been Soviet Republics & Middle Eastern countries, but obviously Turkish companies have performed reasonably well in those markets that they were able to capitalized on their performance. Interesting thing is that same is said to commodity exports to those markets & tourist arrivals from them.

Mohsen Saleh, Chairman of Arabco. indicating the project extends on 391,000 M2 area to serve 4,500 persons and is for completion in 30 months. On his side, Arabco Manager in Kuwait, Eng. Awni Tawfik, indicated the project hosts several government houses of 300 M2 area each, a 1,720 M2 area mosque, services buildings, carparks, shops, 9 Km long internal roads & 9 transformers substations.

Tarek Al Molla in his recent meeting with the Algerian Minister of Energy, Eng. Mustafa Al Kitony. Eng. El Molla has praised during the meeting Egypt's past deals with Algeria while procuring butagas in cooperation with EGPC & Sonatrac. The Algerian Minister has also praised the past cooperation with Petrojet in Algeria and stressed the chances for joint Egyptian Algerian cooperation & opportunities on the African markets.

Egypt to soon complete & deliver by March 2018 the construction of 3 industrial complexes hosting 500 factories built under the slogan : Receive your factory with all licenses. Complexes are located in Sadat City, Badr City & Port Said City. That was announced by the Minister of Trade & Industry indicating the Port Said Complex includes 118 factories on 181,000 M2 area with average areas set for 300 M2, 560 M2 & 840 M2 each. The minister assured the cabinet targets to build 22 such complexes by the year 2020.

An alliance grouping both Orascom Construction & Al Sahraa Group of the UAE declared winner of a project to develop Al Fujaira Airport in the UAE involving $ 180 million investments with Orascom share therein worth 60 % of the contract. That was formally announced by Orascom indicating works include all major infrastructure to revamp the airport including a new control tower, the widening of the existing runway, construction of a new emergency runway apart from other systems. Weeks earlier Al Fujaira announced it is counting much on the revamping of its hotels & accommodation sector.
