CircularSample Kit

Hirose has designed and developed a variety of circular connectors keeping customer needs front and center. This range comes in several sizes including small and compact. The rugged miniature options satisfy customer requirements of high capability in a small package.

Many of these designs have taken into account external factors by supporting IP67 and / or IP68 ratings when fully mated. Others within this range provide maximum dust penetration, resistance to industrial grade oils or outer shell plating to improve corrosion resistance thus enabling their use in various environments.

Several series also deliver contact self-alignment, permanent alignment indicators in contrasting colors and guide keys to facilitate blind mating to ensure both easy, precise install and removal operation. Additionally, plugs, receptacles and locking mechanisms are available in an assortment of styles to address multiple customer needs.

Connectors have current ratings from 2A to 30A and serve a variety of markets, among them mobile base stations, medical devices, robotics, sensors and measuring instruments.

HR08D Series The HR08 is a series of small waterproof push on bayonet lock connectors. Supports IP67 and IP68 while in the mated condition. The right angled plug can be adjusted to mount in any of 8 different directions (adjustable in 45° increments). Simplified mating is enabled by alignment markings and blind mating is also facilitated via the use of mating guide keys.

HR34B Series The HR34B Series is a miniature, waterproof, push-on bayonet lock connector series. When fully mated, supports IP67 or more (IP68) ratings, and is resistant to industrial grade oils. 4-pos receptacles are sealed against water penetration when mounted on a panel, no protective cap is required and meets the TUV standard. Right angled plugs allow the cable to exit in 8 different directions (in 45° increments). Allowing for easy mating and unmating, three guide keys also make blind mating possible.

JR SeriesThis Series conform to the JIS C 5432 “Circular connectors for electric appliances” standard. Utilizing a push on bayonet lock type, this series offers multiple current ratings of 3A, 5A, 10A & 30A. Voltage is rated to AC250V & DC350V with the exception of JR25, 4 & 5 pin which are rated to AC1000V & DC1400V.

JR-W Series The JR-W Series is a rugged, waterproof connector series that is IP67 & IP68 rated in the mated condition. The outer shell is plated to improve corrosion resistance, allowing this connector to be used in various environments.

LF Series The LF Series is a rugged, miniature, waterproof connector series that is IP67 & IP68 rated in the mated condition. All components are self-aligning and do not require complex assembly tooling. The cable shield is connected with the metal housing of the connector using a simple shielding clamp. A short turn bayonet lock assures secure vibration resistant mating of the connectors. The 4-pos. is rated at 10A and meets safety standard TUV. 3 and 4-pos have acquired the UL standard.

RM SeriesThe RM Series is a line of multi-contact compact circular connectors. This series provides a wide selection of plug and receptacle types to satisfy various application requirements. The series is available in several position counts: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 20. Available lock mechanisms include: threaded coupling, bayonet sleeve and quick detachable types.

RM-W Series The RM-W Series is a line of multi-purpose, high pin count, miniature, waterproof connectors. This series was originally developed by Hirose to offer high capability in a small package. The RM-W series is available in both plug and receptacle versions. Plugs are available in 3 types, straight, straight low-height and right angled plugs. The right–angled plugs permit exiting of the cable over a 360-degree range. When fully mated, the connectors meet the waterproof requirements of both IP67 and IP68 with the receptacle version also available in a single body waterproof type.

RP13 Series The RP13 series is a compact, lightweight, rigid, circular connector. The push-pull locking system utilized by the RP13A connector was designed with thorough consideration for easy handling and offers both quick, easy installation and removal. The compact yet smart design is suitable for all types of electronic equipment, particularly small-sized electronic equipment. A compact shape, multi-slot key mating guide and a shell made of glass fiber polycarbonate resin are just some of the attributes of this unique connector.

HR30 Series The HR30 is a series of miniature waterproof plastic connectors. This series offers complete protection against dust and water penetration when submerged 1 meter deep for a half an hour. The built in lock / release mechanism securely locks mated connectors while also allowing fast disconnection by simply pulling on the plug’s release collar. Molded in grooves prevent hand slippage during disengagement. Permanent alignment indicators in a contrasting color aid in correct alignment and engagement. Glass reinforced thermoplastic compounds and non-corrosive components are used in all assemblies.
