Parents spent over 425,000 hours participating in fun, values-based programs with their children. Over 4,200 adults served as leaders, mentors and supporters. Camp Sequassen hosted over 1,578 Boy Scouts and Venturers for a week or more of adventure. 264 Boy Scouts participated in the National Jamboree. An additional 742 children spent a week or more at our Day Camp programs, and 299 boys and their parenwts spent quality time together at Deer Lake for Family Camp, and Cub Scouts/Webelos Action Camp. 21 inner-city Boy Scouts from New Haven’s Troop 4288 attended Camp Sequassen for a week. 22 inner-city youth from New Haven’s Pack 4288 attended camp at Deer Lake Scout Reservation for a week. $22,000 in financial assistance was provided to help Scouts attending summer camp. Our urban STEM Day Camps in Bridgeport, South Norwalk, Stamford and New Haven grew from 56 youth in 2015 to over 600 in 2017. Over 95 Boy Scouts were exposed to new careers and trades through the annual Building Trades Merit Badge Workshop, earning 190 trade based merit badges. More than 240 young men earned their Eagle Scout rank in 2017 giving direct leader-ship to their peers conducting more than 35,000 hours of community service. Over 20 Packs welcomed 106 kindergarten aged youth who joined our Nationally piloted Lions program. AND THAT’S THE IMPACT OF SCOUTING... CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF SERVICE AND ADVENTURE

1998-2018

More than 10,000 young people’s lives were positively impacted by Scouting programs in 2017.
