Why we do itCounterfeit goods include apparel, accessories, cosmetics, medications, food, toys, electronics, lighting products, automobileand airplane parts. Counterfeits are often made of substandardcomponents and materials, and can result in a significant threat topublic health and safety.
According to the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition, counterfeiting also supports unfair labor practices, child labor and organized crime.
UL has a responsibility to protect our customers’ investment andthe UL brand. By engaging in anti-counterfeit actions, we help toensure that only products that have earned the UL Mark benefitfrom its integrity and widespread acceptance.
