All Aboard the Fan Express Fox Sports North and the Minnesota Twins have partnered up to provide fans the opportunity of arriving to Target Field in style. On Saturday June 6, the Fan Express Bus made its first trip to the ballpark bringing a group from St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Tickets and transportation to the game were all taken care of, by the Twins and Fox Sports North, as part of this joint effort. The Fan Express Bus is available for chosen groups within the Twins Territory community with the help of the Twins Care program. The main goal, behind this joint effort, is to bring groups to Target Field and provide a truly special experience for groups that might not been able to attend a game otherwise. St. Paul City School Honors the Minnesota Twins At the end of each academic year, the St. Paul City School family gets together to celebrate the hard work of their scholars with food provided by families and staff with its annual Community Potluck. This event also serves as an opportunity to thank the friends of SPCS. The school recognized six community partners for their service to the students of SPCS, including the Minnesota Twins. The organization invested their time and energy through their Jackie Robinson Be an All-Star Reading Program and Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships Jeff Jurgella and Senior Account Executive Chad Jackson provided scholars with the opportunity to attend a game at Target Field. Both Jurgella and Jackson were awarded the 2015 Caring Community Citizen Award as a thank you for their contributions. The potluck is a fun tradition that reminds the SPCS community why the school is a great place — talented children, supportive parents, caring teachers and genuine community. Siempre Padres Celebrates Their Commitment to Improving Family Life On Wednesday, June 17, Siempre Padres staff, participants and community members celebrated the graduates of the spring 2015 session. The evening began with uplifting, energetic live music from Joel Campos and Arturo Reyes, while all invited guests enjoyed dinner together. Keynote Speaker Miguel Ramos, Director of Diversity Marketing for Minnesota Twins, kicked off the graduation ceremony with a very strong motivational speech, encouraging the graduates to continue being leaders in the community. Siempre Padres is Urban Ventures’ parenting program for Latino families. Located in South Minneapolis, their mission is to break negative habits that create dysfunctional families by empowering Latinos to build strong and healthy families. The participating families come from different Latin American countries; have different economic backgrounds, belief systems, and diverse family structures. Despite their differences, all participants share something in common: the willingness and desire to provide a better lifestyle for their families. The Minnesota Twins were honored to take part in this wonderful ceremony and witness the excitement and pride exhibited by each of the graduates as they received their graduation plaque. It was an evening full of smiles, happiness and great memories for the guests, the graduates and their families. connect Celebrating the diversity of Twins Territory june 2015 Follow us on Twitter @TwinsDiversity connect www.TwinsBaseball.com/Diversity Follow us on Twitter @TwinsDiversity For more information contact [email protected] Click here for Twins ticket information TICKETS Spotlight Player of the Month MIGUEL SANO Born: May 11, 1993 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic Height: 6' 4" Weight: 262 Bats: Right Throws: Right MLB Debut: July 2, 2015 Miguel Sano was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and homered in his very first at-bat with the Dominican Summer League Twins in 2010.
