• Since 2008 the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) has
served senior studio/network executives along with their trusted
service providers with information services, collaborative meetings,

Hollywood Innovation & Technology Summit (HITS): Two annual events for studio
executives focused on Innovation & Technology (IT) and the transformation of media &
entertainment creation, production and distribution systems. The events are produced under
the direction of HITS Content Advisors, which represents the CIOs of all major Hollywood
Studios
Content Protection Summit (CPS): Two annual events (one LA, one NY) focused on content
protection, cybersecurity, privacy. Produced under the direction of the CDSA Advisory Board.
Smart Content Summit (feat. Metadata Madness): Two annual events (one LA, one NY)
dedicated to advancing thought leadership and best practices on the use of data, analytics, AI
and smart systems in entertainment workflows and supply chain. Each event includes the
popular Metadata Madness lightning round of presentations by all leading industry association
Metadata Work Groups.
Women in Technology: Hollywood (WiTH) Workshops: Four annual workshops sessions
for women IT & Technology executives, providing career advice and training by senior
community leaders. Under the direction of WiTH, these year-round initiatives also include the
annual WiTH Awards Presentations at HITS Spring and the popular SoCal Women’s
Leadership Group Meeting, the largest gathering of media & entertainment women’s groups in
Los Angeles.
MESA Member & Content Advisor Meetups: The MESA membership and its content
advisors gather at NAB, IBC and HITS Fall to network and address association business.
Advisory Board members are invited to our annual Board Dinner in October. And select-
members are invited to attend a range of Content Advisor meetups, workgroups and
committee meetings held throughout the year.9

The MESA editorial team edits and distributes member thought leadership and news to update the entire
media & entertainment community about industry developments:
E-newsletters: MESA’s e-newsletters include the daily M&E Daily as well
as four other weekly newsletters: The HITS List, CDSA Cybersecurity News,
Smart Content News, and Smart Screen News.
Additionally, special member-coverage e-newsletters are produced for the
NAB Show and IBC Show. Our total e-newsletter circulation is 40,000+ daily
M&E Journal: MESA’s editors curate the leading thought leadership from its
membership to publish twice-annual, print and digital publications for senior
M&E executives. All Member White Papers receive bonus circulation in the
M&E Daily and social media distribution. Total print circulation: 5,000. Total
print & digital circulation: 60,000
Social Media: MESA has grown an active following of worldwide social media
users and further distributes its original news and member editorial
contributions to a total social audience of over 15,000 LinkedIn, Facebook and
Twitter users

Our Initiatives
MESA gives back to the communities it serves through a range of workgroups and industry
initiatives that address the latest tech developments and community needs.
CDSA Technology Committee: On behalf of the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA),
MESA manages a Technology Committee that includes 15 companies selected annually from
among the MESA membership.
WiTH Leadership Awards: In cooperation with the WiTH Steering Committee, MESA recognizes
women leaders in Hollywood in an annual awards ceremony that results in donations to groups
dedicated to advancing the technology careers of young women.
MESA Community Job Board: Finding the right talent is essential to driving industry
transformation and MESA operates the industry’s official technology & innovation job board that is
offered free-of-charge to studios and MESA member companies only
