Speaking and Writing.

There are three tenses that you

can use:

The PreteriteThe Imperfect

Preterite Tense

The Preterite Tense is formed by adding endings onto the stem.

All of these verbs are

irregular in the Preterite Tense.

In other words, they don’t

follow any of the patterns that we have already seen.

To form the Perfect Tense you need part of the verb haber and a past participle.
