AM (main minyan). "HOST OR BE HOSTED" SHABBOS MEAL PROGRAM: Ahavas Yisrael is a shul with a warm, friendly environment where
people enjoy coming to daven, learn, and socialize. In order to help enable our members and friends to spend quality time together, we are offering a "Host or be Hosted" Shabbos meal program. If anyone would like to have guests on Shabbos, or to be a guest at someone else's Shabbos table, please contact Rivka Jaffe at (732) 762-0490, and she will be happy to facilitate the connection.
SISTERHOOD BOOK CLUB: Join us on Sunday May 15th at 7:30pm for the next Sisterhood Book Club meeting. We will be taking our Book Club on the road- join us at Giddy's Pizzeria! The book is "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie. All women college age and up are welcome to join. Email any questions to [email protected]. If anyone is interested in submitting book ideas for the following Book Club selection, please email the Sisterhood.
WEEKLY TORAH QUESTION: answers should be sent to the Rabbi at [email protected]. Any correct answer will be entered into a monthly raffle for a free pizza at Giddy’s Pizzeria. There is a limit of one answer per household. This week’s question is: Can matza be made from manna? Explain your answer.
BREAKFAST WITH STEINSALTZ: Join the Steinsaltz chevra for a Sunday morning shiur and breakfast. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Highland Park Mikvah is sponsoring a lecture by Mrs. Chaya S. Newman, author, educator, matchmaker, and well-known speaker from Israel, this Tuesday evening, May 10 at 8:30 PM at Debbi Sabo’s home, 153 Brookhill Ave., Edison. There will be members selling cards at the squad building, 128 S.11th Ave – across from Irving School. at the following times: Sunday 5/8 from 3–9 pm, Mon & Tues 7–9 pm, and Wednesday 5/11 from 6:45–7:45 pm.

The AY facility is also available for rental on Friday night, Shabbos day, and during the week. PLEASE NOTE: The building is now internet capable and the shul has a phone line to be used in emergency situations only. The phone is located in the back of the add-on room of the beis knesses. The wireless network is locked and the password is available to members only and for legitimate purposes only (i.e. learning programs, room rental, etc.).
HATZOLAH OF MIDDLESEX COUNTY is parking an ambulance in one designated spot in our parking lot. Please do not park in or in front of this spot, which is clearly marked. Hatzolah and AY thank you for your cooperation and assistance.
RECORDS UPDATE: The Gabbaim request that members input all family lifecycle events on the website. A report is run weekly of these events, which helps the Gabbaim to distribute kibbudim and aliyahs. If you require assistance entering data, please speak with Chezkie Mark. You can email the Gabbaim at [email protected].
