Amanda Tompkins will be serving for one year with the ELCA's Young Adults in Global Mission program in South Africa. She will be abroad volunteering in a village there and hopefully working with children from the end
of August until Mid-July 2011. Afterwards, she hopes to take some more time off to work before going to graduate school for theological studies.
