IT was a jubilant day for Delhi Public School, as its students performed outstandingly at the AISSCE Class 12 CBSE. It's a proud moment as the cherry on the cake was the achievement of Sohini Subir Kumar Chaudhuri who secured 96.80% with 100 marks in Biology, becoming the City Topper in the Science Stream.

The crowning glory is the meritorious results of Rushikesh Ajay Nyati having scored 95.40% topping the Commerce stream and Saloni Chitnis the Humanities topper having secured 95%. Preesha Dhanwate added feather to her cap by securing centum in Political Science. DPS Holds Teacher Training Programs

PROFESSIONAL development refers to the continued training and education of an individual in regards to his or her career. The goal of professional development is to keep one up-to-date on current trends as well as help in developing new skills for the purpose of advancement in the field.

At Delhi Public School Nashik, professional development sessions for teachers has been a continuous process towards, enhancing their skill sets to

fulfil the objective of ensuring expected delivery of curriculum within the class room itself.

The eventual outcome is focused on student wellbeing and development, the result of which is evident when facilitators, equipped with new techniques and skill sets, apply the same in the classroom.

Spanning a week from May 27-31, 2019, various sessions, conducted by outsourced professionals as well as in-

house seniors were conducted for DPS, Nashik facilitators.

Mr. Muralidharan Narayanaswamy, helped teachers understand the finer nuances of 'Lesson Planning' in an interactive two day session, designed to project effective classroom conduct of academic curriculum.

Dr. Kanetkar interacted with the teachers over the topic-'Adolescence', crucial to the growing up years and subsequent changes in a child, helping to build an understanding in effective handling of situations connected to the phase. A session On Special Education was conducted by the School Special Ed resource to further supplement the above session.

Technology stepped into the training with DPS experts taking up a session on 'Robotics' followed by the IT team pitching in with an interactive session dealing with use of the School intranet facility.

TED-ED, an integral part of the student enrichment program, aims at building confidence and presentation skills. In order to further augment this need, a workshop was held, to orient facilitators about the effectiveness of the program and techniques of carrying it to the classrooms. While a session was conducted, to illustrate the finer details of creating a unique class Newsletter, by the Vice Principal, the Principal, Dr. Pushpy Dutt further enriched the staff with a session on 'Circle Time', an activity, essentially integrated into the Life Skills program at DPS.

DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL Nashik hosted the 2nd Chapter of India's International Model United Nations (IIMUN) from 19th April 2019 to 21st April 2019. As part of MUN, individuals got to represent countries and committees.

The objective of IIMUN is to bring together a diverse cluster of informed school students from around the world to address current global issues. Throughout the day students learned how to be a diplomatic delegate incorporating negotiation, impromptu speeches, advocacy and diplomacy.Nearly 150 students from over 8 schools of Nasik attended this conference.

Current topics such as tackling terrorism with emphasis on

revamping/amending CCID, defining and understanding women empowerment/feminism, alternate means of financing the United Nations, implementing policies to provide farmers with loan waiver and increasing productivity, introduction of T-10 format, council of investigative journalism were discussed by the students.

The main event began with students trickling in, nervous and anxious. There was a noticeable change in the students' demeanour as they opened the debate; they transformed into delegates. Their innovative solutions and debates left every one spellbound.

Principal, Dr Pushpy Dutt, appreciated the participation and confidence of the students and felicitated them. The overall award for IIMUN went to DPS Nashik along with other special awards given to the students for their incredible performances. Vibha Bafna, Aditya Kumar, Ameya Nandedkar, Khushbu Sisodia won the best delegate and Vridhi Agrawal got high commendation.

The event was a huge success and brought forth the dedication and meticulous planning of the team. Events like these undoubtedly spread enthusiasm amongst students and train them on a common platform to discuss and take wise decisions for a better tomorrow.

UNIFIED council has been helping schools to get exact picture of the level of Scholastic skills of the students from classes 1 to 12.NSTSE exam is a curriculum based exam in the subjects of Maths & Science.

It is a proud moment for our school to share that 19 students of our School have performed tremendously well in NSTSE exam conducted by Unified Council. Every year the students participate and bring laurels to our School.

DPS Celebrates Fresher's Day

DELHI Public School Nashik hosted a mega party for the Fresher's. The Fresher's Day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The dress code for the Fresher's Day was Black and Shimmer.

Freshers were formally welcomed with roses into the DPS family which was later on converted into a game which decided the most popular student. Many exciting and fun filled team games were organized for them. The games were super fun and amused one and all. Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the party right. Joy and happiness could be seen among freshers at DPS.

The event brought forth the hidden talent of the students which was enjoyed by one and all. The winners were bestowed with the titles of Most Popular, Mr. and Ms. Fresher, Best Dressed, Most Talented, Best Group, Best Personality, based on their performance and participation. The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner for the students.

The entire batch rocked the show and enjoyed the celebrations. They conveyed their heartfelt thanks to the Principal and teachers for hosting such a thoughtful program that they would cherish lifelong.

OUR young Dipsites and students of other schools had a wonderful time in a unique Summer Camp held from 2nd May 2019 to 15th May 2019 by THE LITTLE campus of Delhi Public School Nashik. The little Campus which is situated at Gangapur Road created an innovative summer camp for the cute learners. It's unique because as the school introduced 2 new languages to students of 3 to 5 years during the camp. Young toddlers were exposed to Sanskrit and French languages.It is proved that learning a language boosts multiple cognitive benefits for the child that fosters learning. It was not only challenging but also exciting for the mentors to teach such young children.DPS family was extremely delighted and happy to welcome the parents of the participants for the summer camp culmination ceremony held on 15th May, wherein the students exhibited their learning. Parents were awestruck seeing their kiddos recite Sanskrit shlokas, French poems, names of fruits, alphabets etc.

A TWO weeks long Summer Camp was organized by Delhi Public School, Nashik from 2nd May to 15th May. During the camp the students were offered a plethora of activities which included cricket, football, swimming, basketball, pistol and rifle shooting, fine-arts, performing arts and innovation activities. In addition, the toddlers at 'The Little', the DPS Nashik Pre-School, were also trained in the basics of Sanskrit and French.

An amazing number of over 350 participants from the city attended the Camp. The objective of the Camp was to introduce students to activities that they were interested in, besides developing skill sets and creativity, corresponding to different physical abilities and age groups. The expertise of the school coaches and the eagerness of the kids to learn was a unique combination, which led towards an unmatched learning experience.

To showcase the acquired skills, a culmination ceremony was held at the Delhi Public School, Nashik. Families of the participants were invited to be a witness to the fun and learning that the Summer Camp brought to the enthusiastic participants.
