ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 1

Executive Summary

Who We Are

ABC Transport Group ("ABC Transport" or "The Company") is a new Maryland LLC, located in Baltimore,

MD. It is a freight trucking company that will provide long and short haul trucking services. ABC Transport

is owned by John Smith, President and CEO, who has extensive experience in the

transportation industry and trucking business.

Initially, Mr. Smith will focus on transporting freight as an independent

contractor for other companies, willing to travel wherever necessary. One

of the keys to success in the trucking industry is to find a niche and

dominate it, which is why ultimately ABC Transport will specialize in

Northeast deliveries.

The Company seeks to raise interest in its freight trucking business and

to seek out financial and practical support. By showing that the Company

has a well thought-out plan, Mr. Smith believes that business people and

financial institutions will recognize the potential in this endeavor and will

support it. ABC Transport would appreciate your serious consideration of this business plan.

ABC Transport can be launched for approximately $20,000, largely representing the cost of a

conventional truck with a sleeper. Start-up costs will be minimal as Mr. Smith plans to initially serve as

an independent contractor for larger companies. The Company expects to fund the start-up costs

through a loan and personal contributions.

Within three years, ABC Transport will seek to expand by hiring employees and purchasing additional

trucks.

What We Sell

In the beginning, the Company will travel wherever necessary to obtain

business but plans to ultimately specialize in Northeast deliveries.

CONFIDENTIAL - DO NOT DISSEMINATE. This business plan contains confidential, trade-secret information and is shared only with the

understanding that you will not share its contents or ideas with third parties without the express written consent of the plan author.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 2 ABC Transport will be especially attractive to companies in need of delivery services in the

Northeastern part of the country as many drivers are not interested in tackling this area. This is

largely because of the tolls, poor parking and heavy traffic. The Company will specialize in these

types of deliveries.

At the onset of the operation, ABC Transport will operate one truck and will serve as an independent

contractor for other trucking companies in need of drivers. In approximately three years, as the business

grows, it will enter into its own contracts and begin to directly provide freight hauling services to

retailers, product distributors & others.

Who We Sell To

ABC Transport intends to operate as a general carrier of merchandise for companies and individuals,

especially in Maryland and the Northeast. As such, it is difficult to determine the average customer of the

Company as ABC Transport will have the licensure and the ability to effectively move almost any type of

merchandise.

Initially, ABC Transport will focus specifically on transportation companies in Maryland and the

surrounding area, expanding after the first 2 years to the entire Northeast. By serving as an

independent contractor, ABC Transport can provide a more affordable shipping solution for new and

growing companies than purchasing their own trucks.

Objectives

Over the first three years of operations, ABC Transport will seek to meet the following objectives:

• Obtain start-up funding (essentially, a truck is all that will be required)

• Purchase a conventional truck with a sleeper

• Achieve strong annual revenue within the first year

• By year 3, purchase additional trucks and hire additional drivers

Management

ABC Transport was founded by John Smith, who has extensive

experience in the transportation and trucking industries. Through

his expertise, he will bring the operations of the business to

profitability within its first year. Mr. Smith owns 100% of ABC

Transport and he is well respected by the trucking professionals

with whom he has worked.

John Smith's experience & qualifications include:

• Class A CDL License

• Z Best Executive-limousine driver

• J.P. Donmoyer-Tractor Trailer Driver pulling dry bulk trailers, hauling cement, asphalt, lime, fly

ash & sand

• JB Hunt-Specialized in pulling and hauling flatbed trailers

• Experience with all types of trailers and ability to haul anything

In the beginning, with the exception of volunteers, Mr. Smith will be the only employee. Because he will

initially perform work as an independent contractor for other trucking companies, overhead will be very

low and additional employees should be unnecessary.

In the next three years, once expansion is in place and revenue has increased, ABC Transport will

hire drivers and additional personnel staff including an administrator/dispatch operator and a support

associate.

Market Need

Large established companies tend to have their own truck fleets, but many smaller companies

outsource the freight transportation function. The latter vary in the scale of their operations, but have a

steady demand for reliable transportation solutions. ABC Transport will actively solicit such customers

to meet this need.

CONFIDENTIAL - DO NOT DISSEMINATE. This business plan contains confidential, trade-secret information and is shared only with the

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 4 Market research also shows that customers in the trucking industry are price sensitive, and they value

on-time deliveries, special handling capabilities, and less-than-truckload orders. Customer referrals also

strongly influence the buying decisions of these customers. ABC Transport has taken this into

consideration as it prepares its marketing plan.

Competitive Edge

ABC Transport offers the following advantages to customers:

• Quality Service. Customers will be provided with courteous, prompt, and dependable service.

The Company will develop a reputation for timely deliveries and intends to build upon that.

• Competitive rates. The Company will be able to provide competitive rates to customers because

of its low cost inputs.

• Package handling. By maintaining dependable and safe equipment, ABC Transport will ensure

that there is no damage to customer's cargo.

Experience. Another major competitive advantage for the

Company is the vast industry experience and solid reputation of

its owner, John Price.

Most importantly, ABC Transport will establish a competitive edge

through its dogged focus on on-time deliveries. Software systems,

communication systems, operational choices and marketing materials

will all be oriented around this goal. By making customers more assured of on-time delivery with ABC Transport than with competitors, they will be

more likely to hire the Company, as they can never be sure when a few hours can make an incredible

difference to their potential revenues or expenses.

Mission Statement

ABC Transport's mission is to earn the reputation as one of the leading freight trucking companies on the

East Coast, specifically the Northeast.

The Company will simplify freight transport for local businesses,

becoming their "partner" in efficient and reliable delivery. ABC

Transport will use:

• On-time, accurate deliveries from destination

to destination in the Northeast; and

• Partnerships with other trucking companies,

distribution centers and warehousing businesses

to achieve its goals.

Company History

ABC Transport was founded by John Smith. It is a Maryland company formed as an LLC. The Company

provides freight trucking services and plans to be in full operation before the end of October, 2015. The

Company began when Mr. Smith noticed a gap in the market that could be filled---effective delivery in the

high-traffic, congested, Northeastern corridor of the country. With his skills and industry experience Mr.

Smith saw an opportunity to start a successful business with little start-up funds.

He also understands that being a good driver does not necessarily make a good business person.

Before entering this venture, he took that into consideration and is clear that he has the management

skills and experience to successfully run a business and manage others.

ABC Transport plans to establish and maintain financial stability during the first year of operation due to

the extensive industry experience and contacts established by its owner.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 9

Locations and Facilities

Initially, The Company will maintain a home office and will house the

tractor trailer there as well. This is not uncommon because trucking

companies require little equipment and personnel to start. As the

Company grows, ABC Transport will obtain space that provides a

traditional office for employees to comfortably work as well as space to

house and park its trucks. Mr. Smith expects that this space will be

needed within the next three years.

Products and Services

Products and Services

ABC Transport will provide freight trucking services.

In the beginning, the Company will travel wherever necessary to obtain business but plans to ultimately

specialize in Northeast deliveries. ABC Transport will be especially attractive to companies in need of

delivery services in the Northeastern part of the country as many drivers are not interested in tackling

this area. This is largely because of the tolls, poor parking and heavy traffic. The Company will specialize

in these types of deliveries.

At the onset of the operation, ABC Transport will operate one truck and will

serve as an independent contractor for other trucking companies in need

of drivers. In approximately 3 years, as the business grows, it will enter into

its own contracts and begin to directly provide freight hauling services to

retailers, product distributors & others.

A few keys to maintaining a successful trucking operation are to:

• Find a niche and dominate it

• Have an inbound load for every outbound load

• Ensure that customers can easily and quickly place orders for shipping merchandise short or

long distances throughout the local and regional area

ABC Transport plans to do all of these things. Initially, all transportation services will be handled

exclusively by Mr. Smith. When additional employees are hired, trucks will be operated by qualified,

well-trained drivers with spotless records. Drivers will also be safety trained and re-tested for

knowledge of laws as they change.

A dedicated suite of software and communication systems will also be put in place to allow for the

logistical management.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 11

Competitors

On its face, ABC Transport will face some stiff competition. An analysis of the road freight industry/

market shows that there are many professional & private companies/ operators as well as casual & part

time companies & owners that exist in the area.

Despite the competition, ABC Transport:

• Provides great value for the money

• Is a full-time operation

• Has extensive experience

• Specializes in difficult Northeast region deliveries

& therefore can capture a significant sector of the market.

Although there are major players in the industry, the market

itself remains highly fragmented. According to the Baltimore

Yellow Pages & online data there are numerous companies

providing different kinds of trucking services. There are

however, fewer commercial trucking and freight companies

(approximately 88) in Baltimore, MD.

Originally, ABC Transport's only competition will be other smaller

freight companies seeking to work as an independent contractor

for other trucking companies. As the Company grows and ABC Transport begins accepting jobs as the principal/primary contractor, its competition will be

freight delivery companies with a comparable truck fleet that are also located in the Baltimore area and/or

targeting the Northeast market.

The industry is geographically oriented such that most of ABC Transport's customers will in the

Baltimore, MD area, however, by taking on accounts with clients in other states, The Company will

have additional opportunities to expand their services, increase revenue, and reduce operating costs.

For example, a pickup and delivery in or near the driver's last delivery destination reduces the

Company overhead of a truck returning to Baltimore with an empty trailer.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 12

Sourcing and Fulfillment

As previously noted, ABC Transport will initially fill orders as an

independent contractor for other trucking companies. The only

thing required on the part of the Company to fulfill these initial

orders will be a freight truck and Mr. Smith as driver.

ABC Transport will make sure that each transportation order is

handled in a safe and professional manner. Important to

maintaining and developing successful business operations is the

ability to consistently deliver high quality freight at reasonable

prices. With the fluctuating and oftentimes increasing price of

diesel fuels, it is especially important that ABC Transport develop

and implement strategies to minimize the possibility of mistakes in

fulfilling orders.

Technology

The Company will use the internet, email and telephone communication to disseminate information,

take orders and plan deliveries.

In the future, ABC Transport will make improvements such as utilizing top-of-the-line trucking software

that tracks information detailing the location of all GPS-tagged trucks and the status of deliveries,

including expected arrival times for pick-up or delivery.

Future Products and Services

After the first 2 years in business, ABC Transport plans to expand its services by entering into contracts

directly with vendor as opposed to only serving as an independent contractor for other trucking

companies. This will allow ABC Transport to increase revenue while having more freedom in job

selection.

Target Market

Market Overview

The American commercial trucking industry serves as a key link between raw material suppliers,

manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers in most industries. According to the American Trucking

Association, the industry includes dry van, flatbed, refrigerated and bulk/tank trucking over short-

haul (up to 100 miles), medium-haul (100 to 250 miles), and long-haul

(250 miles and up).

The United States economy depends on trucks to deliver nearly 80

percent of all freight transported annually in the U.S., accounting for $671

billion worth of manufactured and retail goods transported by truck in the

U.S. alone. The American Trucking Association, reports there is an

estimated 15.5 million trucks operating in the U.S. One out of nine are

independent owner operators and there are over 500,000 companies in

the U.S. Of those, 82% own and operate less than 6 or fewer trucks.

The trucking job market is also a good reflection of how well the market is

doing overall. The number of jobs in the for-hire trucking industry climbed further into record high territory

in July, 2015, according to the monthly report from the U.S. Dept. of Labor. The gain of 2,800 jobs put the

total at 1.4587 million. The July total is 5,300 more jobs than the record for trucking set in January 2007.

That’s also the fourth monthly gain in a row after the surprise loss of 7,300 jobs in March, which was the

first decline in almost two years.

The industry has recovered 225,500 jobs since the low point in the recession, March 2010. According to

Trucking Jobs, Inc. compared to July last year, for-hire trucking has added 40,100 jobs, an increase of

2.8%. By 2016, there is going to be a need of over 250,000 drivers, so the job security in this industry is

incredibly high.

There are clearly jobs available for the owner/operator who is willing to work. ABC Transport has an

opportunity to solidify its competitive position in the regional transportation market by selectively

focusing on the Northeast as its target market area.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 14

Market Needs

According to NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) and the US Department of Transportation, at

least 77% of all shipments are delivered by truck. This means that all goods shipped in the United States are

primarily shipped and delivered by truck. leaving an overwhelming need for drivers and companies to

deliver said goods.

Hoover's, a provider of comprehensive industry data, writes that

"demand is driven by consumer spending and manufacturing output.

The profitability of individual companies depends on efficient

operations. Large companies have advantages in account

relationships, bulk fuel purchasing, fleet size, and access to drivers.

Small operations can compete effectively by providing quick

turnaround, serving a local market, or transporting unusually sized

goods. Average annual revenue per employee is $135,000."

Large established companies tend to have their own truck fleets, but many smaller companies

outsource the freight transportation function. The latter vary in the scale of their operations, but have a

steady demand for reliable transportation solutions. ABC Transport will actively solicit such customers

to meet this need.

Market research shows that customers in the trucking industry are price sensitive, and they value on-

time deliveries, special handling capabilities, and less-than-truckload orders. Customer referrals also

strongly influence the buying decisions of these customers. ABC Transport has taken this into

consideration as it prepares its marketing plan.

Market Trends

The trucking industry covers establishments that are primarily engaged in furnishing "over-the-

road" trucking services or trucking and storage services for freight

generally weighing more than 100 pounds.

As the economy grows, the demand for goods will continue to

increase, and more truck drivers will be needed to keep supply

chains moving. Trucks transport most of the freight in the United

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 15 States, so as households and businesses increase their spending, the trucking industry will

continue grow.

As fuel prices rise, some companies may switch their shipping to rail to lower costs. However, rail is

unlikely to take much market share away from trucks, because even with high diesel prices for truck

fuel, trucks are more efficient for short distances. Additionally, many products need to be delivered

within the short time frame that only trucks can operate in (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, TransBorder Freight Data, in June 2015 compared

to June 2014, the value of commodities moving by truck increased by 5.1 percent, while rail decreased by

4.5 percent and air by 8.9 percent. Trucks carried 65 percent of US-NAFTA freight and are the most

heavily utilized mode for moving goods to and from by US-NAFTA partners. The Value of Monthly U.S.-

NAFTA freight flows by mode of transportation shows an increase in truck imports between June 2014

and June 2015 of 11.3%.

Bottom line, the trucking industry/market is doing very well.

Market Growth

The Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI), which is based on the amount of the freight carried by the

for-hire transportation industry, rose 0.6 percent in July from June, rising after a single month of decline,

according to the US Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics'. According to the US

Department of Transportation, the July 2015 index LEVEL (122.8) was 29.7 percent above the April 2009 low

during the most recent recession. The July increase of 0.6 percent in the Freight TSI continued

the trend that began after the index peaked in November 2014.

The Freight TSI increase was part of broad economic growth in

July that was reflected in several measures that impact

transportation. Among the transportation modes, significant

increases in trucking and rail carloads led the TSI Freight index

upward. Freight shipments are up 14.8 percent in the five years

from the post-recession level of July 2010 and are up 9.8 percent

in the 10 years from July 2005.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 16 With 80% of all transportation goods moved by truck drivers, shortage in drivers will drive prices up on

consumer goods. The outlook is increasingly favorable with growth up to 21% expected through 2020

(The Trucker's Report).

Employment of heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers is projected to grow 11 percent from 2012 to 2022,

slightly faster than the average of all occupations. As the economy grows, the demand for goods will increase,

and more truck drivers will be needed to keep supply chains moving (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Truckers have and will continue to have the largest share of the freight market. Unlike railroads,

pipelines, or water carriers, they don't face geographic limits caused by physical constraints, and can

offer door-to-door service. They also pay relatively little to use the nation's highway system. Railroads, by

contrast, must build, maintain, and police their rights-of-way. As as mode of transportation, this country

will always need truckers.

Industry Analysis

Freight transportation is one of the United States biggest industries.

Within the continental US, trucking is the most cost efficient method

for managing shipments. The truck transportation subsector is part of

the transportation and warehousing sector.

Industries in the Truck Transportation subsector provide over-the-road

transportation of cargo using motor vehicles, such as trucks and

tractor trailers. The subsector is subdivided into general freight trucking and specialized freight trucking. This distinction reflects differences in equipment used, type of

load carried, scheduling, terminal, and other networking services. General freight transportation

establishments handle a wide variety of general commodities, generally palletized, and transported in

a container or van trailer. Specialized freight transportation is the transportation of cargo that, because

of size, weight, shape, or other inherent characteristics require specialized equipment for

transportation (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

The trucking industry also provides an essential service to the American economy by transporting

large quantities of raw materials, works in process, and finished goods over land; typically from manufacturing plants to retail distribution centers. Trucks in America are responsible for the majority of CONFIDENTIAL - DO NOT DISSEMINATE. This business plan contains confidential, trade-secret information and is shared only with the

warehousing industries.

Under the North American Industry Classification System the truck transportation subsector consists

of these industry groups:

• General Freight Trucking: NAICS 4841 (ABC Transport falls into this category)

• Specialized Freight Trucking: NAICS 4842

Many heavy and tractor-trailer drivers are employed in general freight trucking. In fact "General

Freight" was the industry that employed the most truck drivers in 2012 at 34%. (Bureau of

Transportation Statistics)

The trucking industry continues to improve energy and environmental efficiency even while increasing

the number of miles driven. In 2013, combination trucks consumed over 95 billion fewer gallons of fuel

than passenger vehicles in the U.S. and accounted for just 17 percent of the total highway

transportation fuel consumed.

TRUCKING INDUSTRY IN MARYLAND

According to the Maryland Motor Truck Association, a few key

facts about the trucking industry in Maryland include:

• In 2013, the trucking industry in Maryland provided

104,130 jobs, or one out of 20 in the state. Total

trucking industry wages paid in Maryland in 2013

exceeded $5.1 billion, with an average annual

trucking industry salary of $49,309

• In 2014, there were over 15,000 trucking companies

located in Maryland, most of them small, locally

owned businesses.

• Trucks transported 87 percent of total manufactured tonnage in the state in 2010, or 403,708

tons per day. Over 93 percent of Maryland communities depend exclusively on trucks to move

their goods.

• In 2013, the trucking industry in Maryland paid approximately $426 million in federal and state

roadway taxes and fees. The industry paid 29 percent of all taxes and fees owed by Maryland

motorists, despite trucks representing only 6 percent of vehicle miles traveled in the state. As of

January 2014, a typical five-axle tractor-semitrailer combination paid $6,317 in state highway

and above the typical taxes paid by businesses in Maryland.

• In 2013, Maryland had 32,422 miles of public roads over which all motorists traveled 57 billion

miles. Trucking's use of the public roads was 3.8 billion miles.

In addition, advances in modern technology have enabled significant improvements within the trucking

industry. Trucks are commonly equipped with satellite communication features, automatic transmissions

are gaining in popularity, truck stops featuring internet access and hospitality services are now

commonplace.

ABC Transport's truck will be equipped with the modern technology necessary for proper

communication, route guidance and road conditions. ABC Transport trucks will also be in

compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements.

Key Customers

ABC Transport intends to operate as a general carrier of merchandise for companies and individuals,

especially in Maryland and the Northeast. As such, it is difficult to determine the average customer of the

Company as ABC Transport will have the licensure and the ability to effectively move almost any type

of merchandise.

ABC Transport will initially focus specifically on being an independent

contractor to transportation companies in Maryland and the

surrounding area. By serving as an independent contractor, the

Company can provide a more affordable shipping solution for new

and growing companies than purchasing their own trucks. ABC

Transport will also serve larger trucking companies who simply don't

have enough drivers for delivery but at

Strategy and Implementation

Marketing Plan

Overview

ABC Transport intends to maintain a marketing campaign that will ensure maximum visibility for the

business in its targeted market. Below is an overview of the marketing strategies and objectives of

ABC Transport:

• Establish relationships with freight brokerages and transportation companies in need of

freight delivery services within the targeted market.

• Develop an online presence by developing a website and placing the Company’s name and

contact information with online directories.

Positioning

The strategy of ABC Transport is to consolidate excellent customer service with timely deliveries and a

competitive pricing structure. The Company's goal in the next 2 years is to enter into direct contracts with

manufacturers and other business entities in need of freight delivery services without having to serve as

an independent contractor for other trucking companies.

Pricing

ABC Transport will have independent contractor arrangements with

various companies that deliver freight. In many ways, pricing is

dependent upon the company being serviced. The average rate for this

type of service is approximately $1.50 per mile.

The Company will be able to charge competitive rates, as it has

minimal overhead compared to its competition.

The Company will attempt to rapidly achieve awareness of its business in

Maryland and surrounding areas in the first year, followed by marketing along the East Coast, especially the Northeast.

ABC Transport will seek to position itself not necessarily as the most inexpensive carrier, but as a

carrier with the best service and on-time record.

reputation for timely deliveries and intends to build upon that.

Company expands, the website will be upgraded to include higher

levels of functionality and support.

As an extra incentive for customers and potential customers to

remember the name, The Company plans to distribute coffee

mugs, T-shirts, pens, and other advertising specialties with the Company name.

The Company will develop two compelling brochures: one to promote sales to other trucking

companies and later, one that promotes the Company's direct services.

Overall, ABC Transport will also rely heavily on word of mouth/ referrals from satisfied customers to

maintain steady contract work.

Strategic Alliances

The Company will form strategic alliances with other trucking companies

in need of freight delivery services. ABC Transport will serve as an

independent contractor for these companies and hopes to call on them as

The Company starts to take on its own direct customers.

Additionally, The Company intends to continually develop a number of

referral and contractual relationships with retailers, distribution companies,

and freight brokers. Since these businesses are regularly seeking trucking

services, Mr. Smith sees a significant opportunity to partner with these

firms.

Financial Plan

Revenue Forecast

Revenue by Month About the Revenue Forecast

Mr. Smith expects a strong rate of growth at the start of operations. Since ABC Transport will initially

serve as an independent contractor for other trucking companies, operating costs should remain low

while profits continue to be made.

In the first 2 years when Mr. Smith is the only driver, revenue is based upon an average rate of $1.50

per mile and assumes 200 miles of driving (400 miles round trip) per day, 5 days a week.

Freight quotes provided directly to the customer depend on the shipment’s distance, weight, density,

susceptibility to damage, value, and handling ease, making it is difficult to provide exact numbers. So,

to create the most accurate numbers possible for year 3, when the Company has additional truck &

drivers the following standard calculation was used:

CONFIDENTIAL - DO NOT DISSEMINATE. This business plan contains confidential, trade-secret information and is shared only with the

understanding that you will not share its contents or ideas with third parties without the express written consent of the plan author.

ABC TRANSPORT GROUP, LLC 28 Shipments are priced “per 100 pounds,” “cwt,” or “per hundred weight.” Accordingly, a 400 lb shipment

priced at $25 CWT would cost $100, not including accessories or specialty services. The rate for a full

truckload shipment is calculated per mile and is typically cheaper than if it were priced per pound. In

this case, we assume an average shipment weight of 4000 lbs, delivered daily by each truck available.

Direct costs include:

• Fuel at the average price of $2.50 per gallon. Assuming a travel rate of 10 miles per gallon, it will

cost approximately $100 each day for 400 miles of travel.

• Maintenance is at the average industry rate of .15 per mile

The Company’s revenues are also sensitive to certain external factors. For example, should the cost of

oil increase significantly, the Company's bottom line income will decrease. However, the Company has

priced its services so that increases in the price of oil should not severely impact the Company’s ability to

operate profitably. In the event of a dramatic increase in price, ABC Transport will seek to increase the

price of its freight trucking services to reflect the higher transportation costs.

About the Personnel Plan

The Company will have no personnel in the beginning with the exception of Mr. Smith. He will make

all decisions and complete all jobs. In 2017, as ABC Transport begins to take on direct jobs, The

Company will begin expanding to include additional personnel.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median pay for a heavy and tractor-trailer truck driver

is $38,200 or $18.37 per hour. The median pay for a general freight truck driver is $40,360.00. Any

new drivers will be paid according to this industry average.

The driver will be responsible for: driving long distances, reporting to a dispatcher any incidents

encountered on the road, following all applicable traffic laws, inspecting the trailer before & after trips, &

keeping log of their activities.

Also, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulates the hours that a long-haul truck driver

may work. Drivers may not work more than 14 straight hours comprising up to 11 hours spent driving and

the remaining doing other work such as unloading cargo. Between working periods, drivers must have at

least 10 hours off duty. Drivers are also limited to driving no more than 60 hours within 7 days or 70 hours

within 8 days. Drivers must record their hours in a logbook. ABC Transport will keep this in mind when

determining how many truck drivers it will hire and when.

Upon purchasing new trucks and hiring additional drivers, ABC Transport will be able to dramatically

increase delivery services and revenue.
