The next edition of biennial conference on “Current Trends in Sheet Metal Forming”

(SMF 2020) will be organized online by the Sheet Metal Forming Research Association

(SMFRA) in association with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) during 18-19

December 2020.

The online conference aims to present the current developments and trends pertaining

to sheet metal forming in the following broad areas:

• Sheet materials, Mechanical behaviour and Applications• Advanced forming technologies• Mechanics, Modelling and Simulation• Industry 4.0 and data driven modelling for sheet forming• Formability – Characterization and Prediction• Die design, Software• Forming equipment• E-mobility

Experts from various industries, R&D labs and academia across the globe will make

presentations and lead the deliberations. A blend of industrial case studies along with

academic research presentations has traditionally been a unique feature of SMF

conference series.
