The Greater Houston Chapter invites you to attend the TSPE Conference & 79th Annual Meeting on June 17-19, 2015!The conference will be hosted at the Omni Westside Hotel located at 13210 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.Lodging: Call the Omni at 1-800-THE-OMNI to request the TSPE room rate of $155 for a single/double (room rate cutoff date is May 25). You may reserve your room online at the TSPE website at www.tspe.org and click on the annual meeting image to access a live link to the Omni website.Seminars: Satisfy all your PDH requirements with two full days of seminars, including options to satisfy the ethics requirement. Topics range from Alternative Financing: Lessons Learned to Producing a Powerful Pitch. There will also be an update from the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas Railroad Commission, as well as a legislative panel hosted by Rep. Wayne Smith, P.E., Rep. Dennis Paul, P.E. and TSPE L&GA Director Jennifer McEwan, Ph.D. Other great sessions include Risk Management with Greg Ziegler, Lagging vs. Leading, and Focusing on the Soft Skills to Creating an Impactful Presentation with Wayne O’Neill.

Regional Meetings: The regional meetings will occur during lunch on Wednesday following the Board of Directors Meeting and prior to the Annual Membership Meeting. Please plan on attending and meeting with fellow engineers from your region.Chapter Leader Training: Chapter leaders are invited to join this discussion focused on issues relative to your role in the chapter including recommendations for use of social media, financial management, use of our new website tools and an update on other available resources. The discussion will also cover TSPE objectives for 2015-16 with plenty of time for chapter specific questions and dialogue with other leaders.Young Member: Interested in meeting other Young Members? Come to our Young Member dinner on Wednesday. Our Young Member Track was specially designed for the interest of up and coming professional engineers. While these seminars are targeted for our young members, all attendees are welcome. Please look for [YM] next to seminars to denote a younger member event.Social Events: Thursday night, we head to Topgolf for an evening of games and networking with other engineers. Topgolf is the premier golf entertainment complex where the competition of sport meets your favorite local hangout. Think of it like bowling or darts, but for golf! There is a limited number of tickets for this event so make sure you sign up early. (Ticket price includes dinner. Golf clubs are available to rent at no charge.)
