1. Portugal Ways Office
Our office is located at Avenida Almirante Reis 6 - 1150-017 Lisbon
2. Buses, Trams, Underground (Metro) and Trains
Carris is the company that operates the trams and buses in Lisbon. The following lines are the most relevant to you:
- Aerobus - Starts at Lisbon airport and crosses the center of Lisbon finishing at Cais do Sodré Station. It is a 15 minutes walk to the apartments.
- Tram 25 - Stops outside the apartments . This tram takes you to Praça do Comércio where you can then walk to the most interesting places to visit in Lisbon. Note: During weekends and bank holidays this tram is substituted by bus 74.
- Bus 760 - Stops outside the apartments. Stops at Praça do Comércio and Praça da Figueira, if you are heading to Rossio. - Bus 794 - Starts at Avenida 24 de Julho Goes along the river stopping at Santa Apolónia Train station. Best stop to go to the Flea Market. Flea Market is open on Tuesday and Saturday.

Sighteeing Tours depart from Praça do Comércio. There is a tram stopped at Praça do Comércio where you may obtain information about all tours.
Underground in Lisbon is operated by Metro. The nearest Metro station is Cais do Sodré and from here your can head towards several places of interest:
Baixa-Chiado - Downtown of Lisbon Jardim Zoológico - Regional and International Bus Terminal Santa Apolónia Train Station - Regional and International trains to Oporto, Coimbra, Madrid amongst many other destinations. Oriente Station - Regional and International trains to Oporto, Coimbra, Madrid amongst many other destinations and modern part of Lisbon.

Travel Cards: You may buy travel cards at our office or request them to be delivered at your apartment. Sete Colinas is a recharchable card thatyou may use on any bus, tram and underground of Lisbon. Have a look at www.portugalways.com for information on the cards we sell.
CP is the company that operates the trains in Portugal. Information that may be of interest:
Santos Train Station takes you to Cascais and Estoril along the Coast. A five star journey! Santa Apolónia Train Station - Regional and International trains to Oporto, Coimbra, Madrid amongst many other destinations. Rossio Train Station - Trains to Sintra - My favourite destination for walks, picnics, book reading and delicious cakes.

3. Tickets & Travel Cards
You may buy travel cards at our office or request them to be delivered at your apartment. Sete Colinas is a recharchable card that you may use on any bus,tram and underground of Lisbon. We offer 24 and 72 hours travel cards for trams, metro and buses. Please have a look at our offer at www.portugalways.com
4. Tours & Transfers
We offer transfers at competitive prices. Please check our rates at www.portugalways.com/en/transfers-tours and make your booking in advanceby email to [email protected] and include the number of people, flight details and time.
5. Taxis
The taxis in Lisbon are either beige or black with a green roof top. You can stop a taxi on the street by signalling with your hand.Alternativelly, you may book a taxi by phone at this number:

8. Supermarkets and Fresh Food Markets
There is a convenience store at Largo Conde Barão. There are however 2 medium size supermarkets where you can buy vegetables, fruit, bread or a readymade meal. The supermarkets are called Pingo Doce and MiniPreço
The nearest food market is Mercado da Ribeira next to Cais do Sodré Station. Take bus 60 or tram 25 and step out at R. S. Paulo.

9. Eating out - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We propose a couple of places of different food, ambient and style:
Breakfast Conde Address: Calçada do Marquês de Abrantes 9 Serves breakfast and lunch. Excellent chocolate croissants! Opening hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 19:00 hours. Saturday 07:00 to 15:00 hours. Closed on Sundays.
Restaurant: Pachamama Address: Rua Boqueirão do Duro 46 Cuisine: Organic Food. Try Pachamama’s bread! Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 09:00 to 21:00 hours Lunch & Dinner

10. Fado
There are several fado houses in Lisbon. I normally go to one where all the staff sings. Even the cook sings with her apron on!Adega do Ribatejo - Rua Diário de Notícias 23 - Bairro Alto. Near Praça Luís de Camões. Phone: +351 21 346 83 43
11. Souvenirs
A Vida Portuguesa - Rua Anchieta 11 - Chiado. Sells products that the portuguese have been using for decades - www.avidaportuguesa.com
Conserveira de Lisboa - Rua dos Bacalhoeiros 34 - Baixa. Sells a variety of canned fish and olive oil amongst ther products.
12. Laundry

13. Parking
Street parking is not easy to find and in some areas there are park meters. There is also car park at Largo Vitorino Damásio(200 meters from the building).
14. Pharmacy
The nearest pharmacy is located at Largo Conde Barão 2.
15. Recycling - We appreciate it!
We really appreciate if you recycle. There is a recycle depot near the apartments.
16. Internet
We offer free wireless internet in all our properties. Internet key: weloveportugal
17. Newsagent
There is a newsagent at 150 meters from the building where you can buy foreign newspapers, travel cards and stationery.Location: Avenida D. Carlos I - 53
18. ATM’s and Banks
There are several ATM’s and banks within walking distance.

19. Entertainment
Santos is well known for its night life and entertainment offer. The next lines are only a few hints:
- The Docks in Alcântara have several restaurants and bars and could be a good place for a meal by the river. - Bairro Alto offers an enourmous amount of bars within and old neighbourhood and narrow cobbled streets. This is a good area to enjoy a nice meal listening to Fado. - Between the Docks of Alcântara and Cais do Sodré there are several clubs and bars - Centro Cultural de Belém hosts important shows and art exhibitions. There are a few museums within a short distance:

- Oriente Museum Address: Av. Brasília, Doca de Alcântara (Norte). Catch tram 15E from Santos Train Station or walk (15 minutes). Opening hours: Wednesday to Monday 10:00 to18:00 hours. Friday 10:00 to 22:00 hours Free entrance on Fridays between 18:00 to 22:00 hours
- Electricity Museum Address: Av. de Brasília, Central Tejo. Catch train at Santos station towards Cascais and get of at Belém station or get on tram 15E Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 18:00 hours Free entrance on Sundays until 14:00 hours
- Centro Cultural de Belém Address: Praça do Império, Belém. Catch tram 15E Opening hours: Everyday from 10:00 to 19:00 hours. Fridays until 22:00 hours

21. A day out: Sintra & Cascais
Cascais is a well known coast village and a good choice for a day out, seafood or fish for lunch and a walk by the Atlantic Ocean.
Cascais by Tour We offer taylor made or regular tours. Please check this link http://www.portugalways.com/en/transfers-tours Cascais by Public Transport You may also get there by catching the train at Santos train station towards Cascais. Leave at the last station. Journey time: 40 minutes
Sintra is a magical village with plenty of palaces, a castle, cobbled streets and plenty of nature.

Sintra by Public Transport You may also get there by train. Catch bus 760 until Praça da Figueira. Then walk until Rossio train station. There are trains going to Sintra all the time. Journey time: 40 minutes
Hint: You may want to catch the train until Cascais as described above and then catch bus 403 that goes between Cascais and Sintra. The journey takes about 1 hour and takes you through the beautiful valleys and Hills of Sintra. You can catch this bus underneath the shopping center next to the train station. Do not forget to taste a few “Travesseiros” or “Queijadas” in Sintra. Take a rucksack and fill it in with home made pastries and fruit and walk until Palácio da Pena. You will sleep like an angel when you come back in the evening! Then you can come back by train to Lisbon through Rossio train station.
22. Luggage Storage
You may leave your luggage at our office located at Avenida Almirante Reis 6. We are open from 09:00 to 21:00 hours.Alternatively, you may want to use the luggage storage facilities located at Cais do Sodré or Santa Apolónia train stations.
23. Car Repairing
