Monte Kali

The Merkers Mine has over 4000 kilometers

of tunnels 500 to 800 meters deep.

This mountain weighs more than 10.800.000 tons

oh impure salt. Everyday, the mountain grows by

20.000 tons.

Concert Hall

This hall is more than 200 meters long

and about 20 meters high. There is a

big stage and a climbing park in the

back.

Crystall Cave

Gold room

The Nazis stored the gold re-serves of the Reichsband

there. It was the biggest trea-sure ever found. This room contained 230 tons of gold,

over 3 billion Reichsmarks and many objects.

The crystal cave contains the biggest salt cristals in the world. It was found in 1981. Today you

can get married there.

This is the first telephone of the mine. It was a warning system for miners. The principle is based on

chimes of different lenght .
