TOPIC: Inventory Management in Retail

Objective:

1. To Understand and analyze past sales to arrive at ideal stock norms for all the core categories.

2. To highlight and drop slow movers from the core range

Methodology :

1. Analyze past sales2. Prioritize the options color wise and style wise for all the stores and rank

style accordingly3. Calculating Rate of sales(ROS) per store and defining must keep styles

across India. Based on past Sales and forecasts4. Allotting options to the stores according to the capacity and implementing

it in Auto Replenishment System (ARS)

Concept 2

TOPIC: Ergonomically suited workstation design for reduction of postural hazards and develop training methods to inculcate the importance of exercise and proper.

Objective:

1. Identification of hazards and assessment of risk in the garment industry.2. Based on secondary research and surveys conducted to find out problem

areas.3. Design workstations that are more ergonomically suited to reduce postural

risks and enhance working conditions.

Methodology:

1. Secondary Research on role of ergonomics in workstation.2. Suggest design of ergonomically suited workstations. Comparative postural

study of existing and designed workstations3. Postural Study from RULA, Hazard identification and risk assessment,

Suggest intervention.4. Suggest the practice of job rotation and frequent breaks between work

hours in order to main the health of the workers.
