WHAT ARE ETHICS? Ethics:
The principles of conduct that govern a group or society.
Having a code of ethics and a personal sense of what is right and wrong will help you choose the right course of action at work.
HONESTY
Dishonesty is the root of most ethics problems in the workplace.
Be honest about work hours and money.
Respect employer’s property. As an honest worker, you will have a
better chance of being successful in a career.
INTERACTING WITH OTHERS
Confidentiality: Not talking about company business with
other people. Treat People with Fair:
Prejudice: A negative attitude toward a person or group.
HANDLING UNETHICAL PRACTICES
Keep a written record. Check your observations with others
you trust. Get advice from people you trust. Check your motives. Collect any evidence you can. Decide whether you want to remain
anonymous or to speak up openly. Report only facts and obeservations.
