NASPO ValuePoint leverages the buying power of all 50 states to offer exceptional pricing for participating states and their political subdivisions. Alaska is an active member of NASPO ValuePoint. In order to use a contract, the state must sign a Participating Addendum (PA). NASPO ValuePoint has the following non-mandatory contracts for Computer Equipment, Peripherals, & Related Services:

PLACING ORDERS: Agencies have the option to place orders via the contractor’s website, phone, or fax. Always identify the Price Agreement Number and Alaska Contract Number to receive the discount. F.O.B. POINT: The F.O.B. point for all orders is Final Destination. All prices include shipping anywhere within the boundaries of the State of Alaska. No additional freight charges will apply unless the ordering agency requests expedited shipping. Products: The contract is divided in 5 bands of product categories –
1. Desktops 2. Laptops
3. Tablet 4. Server
5. Storage
Please see the table below to identify what band(s) have been authorized per contractor:
Unit Price Limits: Limits for single item configurations are shown below. While a total order may exceed these limits, the price of a single item in an order may not. For instance, a single server (or individual components needed to construct a server) may not exceed $500,000. However, an order may include two $300,000 servers.
- $500,000 for Servers and Storage Solutions - $10,000 for Desktops and Laptops - $5,000 for Tablets and Peripherals
Prohibitions: You may not use these contracts to purchase the following:

A. Software – COTS, operating systems, related to procurement of equipment, pre-loaded or by link (middleware allowed);
B. Services – Related to equipment, wireless phone and service, cloud services, or print services; C. Third Party Products – Only offered in the band awarded, approval for products offered by another manufacturer
needed; D. Additional Products/Services – Sole Wide Area Networks systems, cell phone equipment.
Premium Savings Packages: Within the scope of this contract is the WNPSP program. On a 6-month cycle, pricing and configurations for a variety of workstations, laptops, and monitors are refreshed. Because the participating contractors are offering larger volumes of a single configuration, deeper discounts are achieved. Note to State of Alaska Executive Branch Employees: The State of Alaska has adopted a set of generic hardware configurations. The TMC voted to allow department IT Managers to designate standards from the NASPO ValuePoint Premium Pricing Plan. State IT standards may be viewed at the TMC website.
