TEDAGUA (Técnicas de Desalinización de Aguas, S.A.) be-gan operations in 1983 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. At first, its activities were focused on the Canary Islands and southeast Spain, with occasional projects also being executed internationally.

The company was acquired by the ACS Group in 2001 and was incorporated into the Cobra Group as the Group’s water treatment specialist. Since then, TEDAGUA has become an international leader in the design, construction, operation, maintenance and engineering of desalination plants, as well as systems for producing drinking water from brackish feedwater, and plants for recycling water from sewerage feedwater.

TEDAGUA has grown considerably in recent years. Now, with water treatment contracts on five continents, including turnkey or EPC contracts as well as long-term concession contracts, TEDAGUA is justifiably considered a world leader in the water treatment sector.

Operation and Maintenance Services and Concessions

We provide global solutions for our clients, putting at their disposal a complete operation and maintenance service once plant construction and commissioning have been completed.

TEDAGUA’s O&M services extend from the simple provi-sion of reagents and spare parts to the provision of quali-fied operations and maintenance personnel for each plant or facility.

TEDAGUA can also offer its clients overall global manage-ment of a project, including design, equipment supply and installation, quality control, operation and maintenance, and project financing by way of Build Operate and Trans-fer (BOT) and Build Own and Operate (BOO) contracts.

On the other hand, residual water from industrial processes will almost always require treatment before it is discharged to a marine environment or even a municipal sewer.

In recent years, TEDAGUA has significantly strengthened its industrial water division. We have designed and built water plants in industrial sectors as di-verse as petroleum, food, livestock and energy, including treatment plants for major combined cycle, solar thermal and biomass energy plants.

Water Networks and Auxiliary Works

TEDAGUA is also able to develop a large range of ‘auxiliary’ water infrastructures, in-cluding catchment works, pumping stations, wastewater sanitation, networks to supply potable water, submarine outfalls and the modernization of irrigation systems. These networks and infrastructure may be associated with water treatment plants designed and constructed by TEDAGUA or delivered by way of independent contracts.

We have a diverse and multidisciplinary technical team that allows us to tackle any water treatment system project, always guaranteeing facilities with trouble-free ope-ration: all this within a clear framework of environmental and social sensitivity that is applied to all our projects.
